    Zone/Regional Director



    Summary

     

    As a Zone/Regional Director at the GS-0301-15, you will be part of Employee Services, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for serving as the Zone/Regional Director in one of four the geographical zones (East, Central, South, or West). Each zone covers adjacent regions, including a diverse footprint of Federal agencies and significant number of Federal employees.

    Duties

     

    Serve as a Zone/Regional Director, liaison, and program representative on issues affecting the incumbents' designated FEB zone.Provide leadership and direction for local FEB staff, programs, and projects that incorporate research, studies, and analysis of key strategic issues.Responsible for all aspects of planning, budgeting, and implementing of local FEB programming and activities.Evaluate progress of important program areas in accomplishing objectives by appraising performance, progress, program status, and trends against approved objectives and program goals and schedules.

    Requiremennts

     

    Must be a U.S. Citizen or National Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Complete the initial online assessment and USAHire Assessment, if required This position is not eligible for inclusion in a bargaining unit

    Qualifications

     

    For the GS 15: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level in the Federal Government (or equivalent):

    • collaborating with senior level officials to create opportunities for effective outreach efforts with internal and external audiences in disseminating information regarding Government-wide policies, programs, and/or priorities;
    • providing guidance and/or direction for implementation of processes to leaders across multi-agencies;
    • facilitating briefings for higher level management to provide recommendations for the development or modification of program objectives to achieve established program goals.
    • Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
    • One year at the GS-14 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS15 level.
    • You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
    • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
    • Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
    • You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
