During the last 3 years WZA has been involved in various CSR activities in the local communities. Among the most recent projects was a contribution made towards the University of the Western Cape which was used towards the establishment and opening of a chemistry lab at an under-privileged school. This program creates a mix of renewed Energy and Excitement for science and helps learners and educators strive for Excellence in their efforts to make a success of the project.
Another project was minor renovations made to St George’s Home for Girls in Wynberg. WZA also donated much needed kitchen equipment and financing towards the purchase of toiletries and school clothes. A much needed boost was the sponsorship of 1 years’ salary towards a social worker for their Independent Living program for the girls who no longer qualify under the local laws, to live in the home. This program affords them the stability, once they leave school, to enrol at a tertiary education facility, to find work and to become socially responsible members of the general public.
