    Senior Workshop Foreman

    Job Description:
    This role reports into the Technical Operations Department

    • We deliver technical services and technology systems to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Group diamond value chain from exploration to diamond recovery. Activities include marine geophysical survey, sampling, mining, projects, engineering, technology development and maintenance. The incumbent will be responsible for the fault finding, diagnosis and repair of equipment, as well as the maintenance. Overhaul and commissioning of equipment to satisfy customer needs and expectations. The incumbent will also be expected to supervise and develop the capacity of team members to maintain and support quality, safety, health and environmental factors.

    Your role will include:

    • Implements and manages the Risk management plan according to organizational and operational (Repair) requirements.
    • Adheres to company risk management policy - business ethics.
    • Provides active participation in Safety Objectives and the promotion of a safe work culture.
    • Sets and implements standard operating and control procedures for the department.
    • Completes all manpower documentation (time sheets, overtime booking).

    • Assesses the requirements and resources to assist in compiling the emergency repair plan and prioritize accordingly.
    • Commissions the equipment as per the scope of work.

    Qualifications:

    • NQFL 4 qualification (matric)
    • MERSETA Trade Test Certificate (Fitting/Turning, Hydraulics & Boilermaking)
    • N4 certification in relevant trade would be advantageous

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an artisan in engineering maintenance/ repair/installation service/support environment
    • 3 years’ experience supervising industrial work
    • Experience in a medium to heavy industrial working environment would be an advantage.

    Product Technician Supervisor

    Job Description:

    • This role reports into the Technology Support Department
    • The incumbent will be responsible for supervising, monitoring and executing the short-term activities required for the commercial provision of product support services from within the Technology support function to De Beers Technology clients, both internal and external to De Beers Group.

    This role report into the Security Services Department

    • The Facilities Section Manager DBM Gardens is responsible for the management of DBM Gardens that are leased by the company that support the core business of DBM and to ensure that the company function effectively and efficiently.     • This role reports into the Inport Technical Support Lead.

    Senior Plant Metallurgist

    Job Description:

    • Provide assistance to the Ore Processing Engineer and the Section Manager in the provision of Metallurgical Quality Control & Assurance for various sections of the Venetia Mine Treatment Plant and providing Technical Support to the Production Teams. This includes assistance in initiating continuous improvement projects aimed at meeting production budgets and ensuring plant readiness for LOM treatment profile.
    • The Role of Senior Plant Metallurgist is to support the Metallurgical team through the Ore Processing engineer to deliver the required service to the Section Managers.

    • LIMN modelling or Diamond wizard knowledge/experience will be an advantage.
