    Audit Senior (2 Years FTC) - KwaZulu - Natal

    Strategic Function:

    • Support and participate in the implementation of the BSC initiatives within a BU.

    Audit Planning:

    • Review the planning documentation in accordance with auditing standards and consider matters that should be carried forward.
    • Understand all aspects of the auditee’s business (including relevant risks affecting the business) and understand the link between different components of the audit.
    • Keep abreast of any news or developments relating to the auditee or the industry in which it operates.
    • Review and issue request for information (RFI’s) to the auditee and update the RFI register with information received and follow-up on outstanding information.

    Audit Execution:

    • Execute audit procedures on complex areas not assigned to the rest of the team
    • Review notes to be adequately, and timeously cleared and ensure that working papers are updated based on review notes raised.
    • All findings identified, should be clearly documented in accordance with relevant methodology and discussed with the auditee.

    Audit Reporting:

    • Prepare/review reporting working papers, audit and management report to ensure that it is written in compliance with relevant audit and quality standards and discuss findings with Manager

    Stakeholder engagements

    • Liaise with relevant key internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination, communication and coverage of relevant audit issues.
    • Support the audit team in engaging with relevant contact people (resources) at the auditee to provide required audit documentation.
    • Continuously update or inform the Senior Manager and/or manager on issues arising from the audit.
    • Perform the status of records reviews (SoRR) at the selected auditees as per BU SoRR plan.

    People Management

    • Manage the performance of the team and provide relevant support to improve performance.
    • Identify opportunities to develop staff through on-the-job coaching and provide guidance and supervision to the 3rd and 2nd year trainee auditors in coaching the 1st year trainee auditors.
    • Participate in the mentoring of trainees to achieve academic progress towards obtaining MQR qualification.
    • Review the Skills Review (SRs) and Assessment Needs Analysis (ANAs) of the trainees you are responsible for, according to the TA assessment policy, procedures and training regulations and ensuring adherence to timelines set by the Training Officer office.

    Financial management

    • Monitor own and team recoverability and manage resources to comply with budget targets.
    • Compliance to AGSA policies and procedures.

    Deputy Business Unit Leader - Communications

    Strategic Function

    • Provide strategic support the development of the communication strategy of the AGSA.
    • Support the development and implementation of the communication functions of the strategy.
    • Drive execution and implementation of communications strategic initiatives.
    • Promote and manage institutional cooperation within the AGSA and its stakeholders.
    • Lead the development of quality content and oversee quality control efforts.
    • Support direct reports in the coordination and proactive communication activities of the AGSA.
    • Monitor performance against strategic objectives and provide continuous feedback to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
    • Manage the reporting of the BU and development of the BSC that aligns with the strategic aspirations of the AGSA and the objectives of the BU.

    • Lead and support the DAG in his stakeholder management efforts
    • Lead the reporting and monitoring, and provide guidance on the influence goal initiatives and ensure adequate application of the framework
    • Develop and execute in collaboration with ABUs the thought leadership programme that promotes the work of the AGSA
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders as per the engagement plan
    • Research the level of stakeholder satisfaction with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop relations with all ABUs to ensure free flow of information for management of internal communication, marketing initiatives and content development
    • Identify new stakeholders and introduce them to ABUs, and outline the business imperative that mobilises them to be active participants in the accountability ecosystem

    People Management

    • Lead the development and facilitation of an employee culture plan that promotes employee wellness and encourages productivity
    • Manage together with BUL the performance of senior managers and ensure that they implement innovative and proactive communication that enhances the AGSA's reputation
    • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of BU transformation strategies
    • Implement and drive a strong ethical culture, champion awareness, also deal with ethical breaches in a decisive manner
    • Create an inclusive culture and greater cooperation in which all individuals can contribute and perform
    • Contribute to the AGSA realising the people strategy strategic aspirations

    Financial Management

    • Monitor budget spending and ensure effective use of resources
    • Ensure that BU deliverables are executed economically, efficiently and effectively in terms of recoverability and productivity

    Formal Education

    Experience

    • Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in public relations and marketing, of which at least 5 years should have been at a senior management/ higher level. Proven track record and experience in communications, content development, marketing campaigns, and internal communication as an added advantage.

    Performance Auditor-Civil Engineering (Western Cape)

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    • Understand the government environment in which the AGSA work
    • Perform audits based on project management principles
    • Assist in planning of audit assignments

    • Collect data and information/evidence for audit and other assignment purposes
    • Analyse and interrogate data and information

    Senior Manager: Internal Communication (1 Year Fixed-Term Contract)

    Strategic function

    • Develop and implement an organisation-wide internal communication strategy that meets organisational objectives and aligns with AGSA communication and the overall strategy.
    • Measure the effectiveness of internal communication messages and channels on an ongoing basis and make recommendations to review and amend the strategy as appropriate.
    • Report back to leadership and other key internal stakeholders at regular intervals to ensure the strategy is fit for purpose.

    Product management

    • Design an internal communication and employee engagement model to enable the organisation to effectively communicate with all internal stakeholders.
    • Manage and monitor the AGSA’s internal communication and employee engagement programme to ensure that all internal stakeholders across the country are informed of organisational news, issues and direction, and have mechanisms for providing feedback to management.
    • Be the first point of contact for internal communication enquiries and requests for advice.
    • Seek opportunities to advise and influence on communication issues.

    • Communicate the strategy and objectives to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding of these by all relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide thought leadership and knowledge sharing capability within the unit and create awareness to stakeholders across the AGSA.
    • Support stakeholders through the various stage gates to deliver on the benefits realisation mandate of strategic projects and programmes

    Experience

    • Minimum of 10 years’ work experience with 4 to 5 years’ managerial experience in internal communication and a proven track record in implementing effective employee engagement communication initiatives.
    • Proven and relevant experience in the public sector in stakeholder management, developing and implementing internal communication strategies would be an added advantage.
