    External Sales Representive

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Plan approach to achieving allocated targets every quarter, using knowledge of market dynamics and understanding of clients to inform sales strategy.
    • Identify opportunities to sell on to existing clients, involve the relevant internal people to secure a deal which achieves targeted returns.
    • Open new accounts for BMG online for as many customers as possible.
    • Entertain clients, using insight of company culture to engage positively with clients in an informal context.
    • Submit proposals, within agreed time frames, presenting a professional image of the company.
    • Comply with order processing guidelines whilst negotiating time frames and pricing with the client.
    • Follow up on the process of deliveries and collections, liaising with the relevant people and organizing whatever is required to ensure customer’s requirements are met.
    • Check that accounts are up to date, highlighting money outstanding as appropriate.
    • Monitor that orders are processed accurately and allocated to the correct account.
    • Pass credits, when required, ensuring accuracy of information reflected and appropriate authorization.
    • Make sure that the required information on the CRM system is always up to date.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric
    • Relevant Sales qualification
    • 3 - 5 years’ experience in Sales, Consumables, Engineering, Mining, Agricultural field
    • Knowledge on BMG Products
    • Valid driver’s license

    Business Unit Manager - Seals & Gaskets

    Key Objectives:

    • Lead, grow and develop the team responsible for the performance of the business unit.
    • Support business growth in target markets through expansion, product introductions and securing new or additional resources and capabilities.
    • Monitor monthly financial statistics using the business unit income statement and balance sheet. Focus on sales, gross margin, overheads, operating profit, stock holding and key ratios. Implement recovery plans should there be a reduction in sales volumes, unforeseen increase in overheads or profitability.
    • Implement pricing structures which support the ongoing growth, profitability and sustainability of the business unit.
    • Identify, propose and implement agreed new business opportunities which BMG could enter by analysing market trends and leveraging market information to maximise business opportunities.
    • Determine the specific growth path by market considering the needs of the customers and capabilities offered.
    • Evaluate sales performance and conduct sales training to staff in order to transferring skills and knowledge as required.
    • Collaborate with Divisional, Contracts and Branch sales teams to develop pricing strategies
    • Manage the performance of direct reports in accordance with the BMG performance management policy and procedure.
    • Identify training and development needs, implementing plans to address requirements, as appropriate.
    • Manage staff resources and productivity, maximising output through efficient use of resources, time planning and CRM.
    • Deal with queries and escalated issues in timely manner, achieving resolution.
    • Discipline staff in accordance with organizational codes and procedures so that improvement is shown.
    • Facilitate communication through appropriate structures and systems
    • Negotiate payment terms, shipping INCO terms, distribution pricing and where possible bulk deals or project pricing

    Requirements:

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Relevant Qualification NQF Level 7.
    • Technical Qualification with Management course.
    • MBA NQF Level 9 Advantageous
    • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in Sales/Marketing/Market Analysis/Pricing from within the industry
