    Shift Assistant

    Mission of the Role

    • It all starts with people. People like you. Join us a Shift Assistant. You will play an essential role in ensuring the performance, safety, and durability of Ground Engaging Tools (GET) by applying proper procedures, monitoring product life, and enforcing quality control.
    • You will also support internal teams and customers with technical expertise, reporting, and equipment management, while promoting operational efficiency and compliance with Epiroc's health, safety, and environmental standards.

    Your Mission:

    • Active stock replenishment.
    • Assess operator interaction and competence.
    • Monitoring of product life.
    • Report on product performance.
    • Ensure compliance with quality control standards and procedures.
    • Ensure accurate record keeping of all tools issued and returned to the tool store
    • Report and coordinate all loss and damage to tools and/or equipment
    • Inspect and maintain an inspection register for all company-owned equipment
    • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies
    • Participate in safety training and initiatives by reporting any safety hazards or incidents promptly

    Your Profile:

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining or construction industry
    • Technical background knowledge on tools and ability to identify and report on tool conditions.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and components
    • Capability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended period.
    • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
    • Ability to work in a workshop environment that may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

    Warehouse Coordinator

    Purpose of the Job

    • To ensure that the Team achieves operational standards effectively and efficiently in line with the objectives of the Warehouse.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Matric/Grade 12 with English and Mathematics.
    • A Warehouse management and Stock Control Qualification will be an advantage

    Knowledge & Experience (at the discretion of management)

    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Numerical Skills
    • Knowledge of 5S WCC
    • Stock Control experience (minimum 3 years)

    Process Ownership

    • Responsible for the accurate receiving of Components and Spare Parts from Suppliers;
    • The safety and productivity of the Goods receiving team as well as the entire Stores team;
    • Optimum utilization of all resources including- human, equipment, materials and time;
    • Effective and efficient receiving and handling of goods;
    • Updating the Delivery Notes register, labeling of stock received, repackaging and put-away;
    • Stacking and storage of goods.
    • Stock control and stock accuracy.
    • Ensure that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters. Responsible for ensuring that employees reach their hourly production targets.
    • Ensure that the necessary process controls are completed hourly and recorded correctly on the VPM Board.

    Quality, Safety & Housekeeping

    • Responsible for adhering to SHEQ standards;
    • It is the Team Leader’s responsibility to ensure that members working in their team operate in safe working conditions.
    • Understanding of Works Instructions and consistent application
    • On-going training of Stores personnel on new products received
    • Ensure that Non-Conformities are communicated to buying department
    • Responsible for the Health and Safety of his Team
    • Train his team on proper use of PPE
    • Ensure adequate supply of PPE for his team
    • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times

    Administrative Functions

    • Ensure that all goods received are checked, recorded, weighed, counted, repacked, labeled, stacked, and GRN’d into Syspro;
    • Responsible for leading, coaching, developing, motivating and supporting team.
    • The Team Leader must communicate effectively all information in a team environment and to superiors.

    Warehouse and Inventory Manager

    Purpose of the Job

    Stakeholders & Liaison

    • This role is responsible for the overall operation of the warehouse. This potion needs to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, optimizing space and workflow, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
    • Key duties include managing warehouse staff, implementing policies and procedures, coordinating shipments, and supervising inventory accuracy. Another requirement is to also plan and execute operational improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Tertiary qualification in Logistics/Warehousing/Inventory management

    Knowledge & Experience(At the discretion of Management)

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment essential.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Warehouse/Inventory Management is essential.
    • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Syspro software. Fleet Management Software.
    • Good understanding of processes and process improvements

    Special Requirements

    • Good people management and issue identification sills required

    Team Leader Stores

    Purpose of the Job

    • To ensure that the team reaches production expectations while ensuring that the need for accurate and reliable results by those in his department is always upheld. It is also the Team Leader’s responsibility to ensure that members working in their team have safe working conditions.
    • The Team Leader must be an effective communicator of information between members of his immediate team and superiors.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Formal Production Supervision Qualification

    • Must have sound knowledge of Moving Machinery.

    • Ensure that corrective actions have taken place for non-conformances per hour.
    • Responsible for the Health & Safety of his subordinates
    • Instruct his team on the proper use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
    • Supply his team with the allocated protective equipment.
    • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times.

    Administrative Functions

    • Track production and to produce the necessary reports.
    • Responsible for maintaining regular communication with interrelated departments to plan and execute production goals efficiently.
    • Responsible for being a leadership resource to team members providing development, motivation and support.
    • Responsible for the scheduling of work, attendance, disciplinary and training of subordinates.
