    Driver Code 8 - Store

    Purpose: 

    • The purpose of this job is to assure that goods are delivered accurately and punctually in good condition as expected by the customer.  This will include dealing with customers, staff from all branches, monitoring the loading and offloading of transfers and making sure that the delivery vehicle is in good condition by doing daily check-up of the vehicle and providing good customer service. 
    • This will result in customer satisfaction and generate sales promoting the business and creating sustainable growth and profit margins.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide good customer service
    • Completing of daily trip sheets (opening/closing km, departure/arrival times)
    • Completing a daily pre-trip inspection of your vehicle to ensure basic roadworthy standards. (indicating on trip sheet)
    • Reporting any defect on your vehicle to your Supervisor (completing of vehicle repair report)
    • Ensure that the truck assistants are with the truck at all times.
    • Plan and ensure with the most efficient route to your customer
    • Ensure all out going stock have the relevant documentation before being loaded.
    • Ensure all transferred documents are recorded in your logbook.
    • Ensure the transfer logbook is signed by the branch who receives the stock.

    Stock Controller - Stock & Receiving

    Purpose: 

    • The purpose of this job is to manage the day-to-day maintenance of stock levels within the inventory parameters on the stock system and monitor the merchandising and housekeeping standards of stock on shelves in such a way that stock discrepancies are reduced in order to minimize losses. 
    • This includes managing the flow of stock from the receiving department in the respective departments in the store, ensuring that products are unpacked correctly and making sure that accurate stock records are maintained at all times. 
    • In addition, this includes ensuring that stocks correspond with stock on hand that’s recorded on the stock system used and investigating issues that arise in such a manner it ensures the continuous availability of stock.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Control daily weekly and monthly stocktakes/cycle counts in various departments according to a schedule
    • Investigate stock discrepancies in various departments as well as liaise with the stock controllers across the relevant branches to check stock on hands against computer stock
    • Maintain stock levels including monitoring of transfer to be actioned timeously
    • Liaise with management on a daily basis where there are stock discrepancies request management to adjust stock accordingly
    • Investigate outstanding invoices and orders before forwarding adjustments to management alleviating errors and checking of credit slips as per managements request or using initiative with regards to credit slips when stock discrepancies are identified

    Technical Sales Person - Irrigation Department

    Purpose: 

    • To effectively assist customers in a professional and competent manner with technical support and assistance in choosing a product that is best suited for their specific needs - and with the aim of achieving customer satisfaction generating sales and promote sustainable business growth.

    Stock Coordinator - Stock & Receiving

    Operational Clerk - Stock & Receiving Department

    Purpose: 

    • The purpose of this job is to ensure that stock is readily available and of good quality for customer purchase, resulting in effective and efficient operation of the organization in order to generate sales and increase growth and profit margins.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure that stock is readily available for customers to purchase.
    • Check the accuracy and completeness of stock received on delivery notes or invoices from suppliers against purchase orders as well as incoming transfers received from other branches as per stated SOP

    • Check barcodes daily when receiving stock and report irregularities
    • Daily floor walks to be done in the mornings per department and regularly communicate with merchandisers to replenish shelves/stock. Immediately report gaps to Stock-Coordinator who will address matter with relevant stakeholders to improve performance
    • Assist in marking and packing in the storeroom. Check if stock is sorted, marked & packed according to Department or supplier for easy tracking purposes to improve performance

    Yard Supervisor - Drive Thru Yard Department

    Purpose: 

    • The purpose of this job is to ensure the smooth running of the department, through weekly evaluations and reporting it to the Department Manager.  This is to ensure that sales targets are met and that housekeeping standards are maintained, in addition providing excellent customer service ensuring customer satisfaction.  This will include overseeing all staff and the productivity of the department resulting in promoting the business therefore creating sustainable growth and profit margins
