    Crew Chief (DBN)

    Description

    • Oversee line maintenance is being carried out with regards to quality and efficiency;
    • Conduct routine inspections for the quality of the technical maintenance;
    • Provide on the job training to the Technical team (Technicians);
    • Provide guidance with regards to fault finding and rectification;
    • Provide guidance and knowledge on the maintenance of the applicable aircraft during the maintenance contract;
    • Oversee A checks as well as weekly service checks;
    • Monitor the quality of the work being performed;
    • Monitor the status of the ageing progress;
    • Oversee, review, and approve all required paperwork to ensure compliance with quality inspection standards;
    • Monitor and manage shift rostering to ensure an optimal balance between available manpower and workload requirements;
    • Ground runs;
    • Supervise the team and report on the team's performance;
    • Act as a resource, coach and mentor;
    • Set team goals in order to meet the overall business need;
    • Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the team to ensure productivity;
    • Assist the team with finding solutions to complex work;
    • Identify and remove barriers that reduce efficiency or effectiveness;
    • Foster an optimal working environment that recognises and rewards success;
    • Manage Employee relations and personnel functions (i.e. leave);
    • Be part of the recruitment and training of staff by ensuring that Re-Current Training and OTJ training takes place;
    • Liaise with third party service providers.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
    • Licensed AME with a SACAA A & C License on B737 -400 800 (Essential);
    • Minimum of 15 years' aviation experience (Essential);
    • Flight Line experience (Essential);
    • Previous experience working on B737 — 400 and ž800 (Essential);
    • OJT experience (Essential);
    • 3 years' Ground runs CFM56-3C1/7B (Advantageous);
    • Previous people management experience (Advantageous);
    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
    • Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally;
    • Valid South-African passport holder;
    • Must be willing to perform relief duty at another station as and when required;
    • Good understanding of the Mechanical Schematic systems;
    • Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting experience on B737/400/800;
    • Full Ground run competency CFM56-3C1/7B;
    • Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;
    • Good understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards;
    • Knowledge of Shift rostering (Advantageous);
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint).

    Senior Data Analyst (JHB)

    Description

    • Implement and uphold data governance and security protocols;
    • Perform data extraction and transformation;
    • Create Qlik data models;
    • Generate information and insights from data sets and identify trends and patterns;
    • Identify and define BI process improvement opportunities;
    • Provide maintenance of the BI environment;
    • Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleaning;
    • Implement strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality;
    • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalisation;
    • Create complex queries on large datasets for manipulation;
    • Lead data analysis projects from start to finish, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivering results to stakeholders;
    • Develop complex reports in Qlik that summarises key findings and insights;
    • Responsible for documenting solutions;
    • Coach and mentor colleagues;
    • Provide training and support to management on how to interpret and utilise data reports and dashboards;
    • Engage with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements;
    • Gather input from stakeholders to ensure the data solutions provided meet their needs;
    • Translate complex data analysis into actionable business insights that stakeholders can easily understand and act upon.

    Requirements

    • BCom Information Technology (Essential);
    • Relevant BI Certificate (Essential);
    • Minimum of 6 years’ BI experience;
    • Qlikview / Qliksense experience (Essential);
    • Nprinting experience (Advantageous);

    Groups Agent (JHB)

    Description

    • Book and coordinate group bookings;
    • Answer calls, emails or other communications from passengers and prospective passengers;
    • Take meaningful action against those calls (provide information, make booking changes, assistance in lost property, assistance in special needs or create new bookings);
    • Ensure timeous and courteous responses to client/s Verify payments made by clients, capture names and assist with group changes;
    • Generate and follow through with group quotations and bookings and guide clients throughout the process;
    • Provide feedback to management on any recurrent issues that passengers appear to be facing so that these issues may be addressed and corrected from the root cause;
    • Establish and maintain trust and rapport with clients through appropriate coordination of new and existing customers, ensuring exceptional customer service;
    • Build and maintain relationships with potential clients.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential);
    • Call Centre experience is (Preferred);
    • Proficient in the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
    • Experience using Zendesk, Phone systems, Raddix system and PayU (Advantageous);
    • Willingness to work overtime when required;
    • Must be prepared to work shifts;
    • Must have accurate and up to-date knowledge of FlySafair offerings.

    AMC Representative (DBN)

    Description

    • Monitor the daily operational plans as shared by OCC;
    • Distribute information regarding planned issues, and service provider’s constraints /shortages;
    • Cross-check daily movements against the ACSA parking bay list;
    • Monitor the Apex system to detect any abnormalities, possible delays and bay changes;
    • Analyse any aircraft technical problems;
    • Responsible for communicating ETA’s to service providers to meet SLA agreements;
    • Responsible for Performance Monitoring i.e. OTP;
    • Provide input and agree on KPIs;
    • Monitor deviations;
    • Negotiate best solutions towards bay/gate allocations as per FlySafair’s preference;
    • Provide a comprehensive end-of-shift handover;
    • Review trends and any non-conformance or deviations within the reports and engage with stakeholders to close the gaps;
    • Follow up with service providers if services are not in the bay as per SLA standards;
    • Participate in communications where input is required, internally and externally.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 certificate;
    • 2-4 Years Airport operational experience;
    • Previous AMC experience;
    • Willingness to work longer than normal office hours;
    • Good understanding of operational requirements;
    • Excellent understanding of functioning and decision making during IROPS;
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • Solid computer literacy;
    • Excellent telephone, email and radio etiquette;
    • Good decision-making skills;
    • Good time management skills;
    • Conflict resolution skills.
