PURPOSE

• This exciting opportunity exists in Fraser Alexander Africa to assist the divisional finance team with various generalist responsibilities.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting

• Assist the Financial Manager with developing and preparing financial reports in multiple currencies and any other roles and responsibilities.
• Assist with offshore taxation.
• Assist the Financial Manager with financial analysis.
• Assist the finance team with process flow documentation and the development of policies and procedures.
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes to enable financial departments to meet deadlines and process all financial transactions before final closure.
• Follow up and resolve queries received from the division and, where required, escalate to the line manager for action.

Governance

• Process financial transactions under guidance and supervision to ensure the transactions are recorded accurately in compliance with policies, processes, guidelines, and legislation.
• Assist with the annual internal and external audit and perform financial account reconciliations to identify discrepancies or items to be actioned to ensure that all transactions are recorded in the correct accounting period.
• Assist with quality review of financial statements.
• Assist with specific project management and administration.

Record Keeping

• Assist the finance team with document management on OneDrive and SharePoint.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Grade 12/ Matric Certificate.
• BCom Finance/Accounting Degree or relevant equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 1 year experience will be advantageous.

SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Ability to implement basic accounting principles.
• Basic knowledge of VAT principles.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to pass a medical fitness assessment.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are available to start immediately.

PURPOSE

• To provide general site assistance and support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with site teams to support the achievement of operational goals and targets.
• Assist with daily inspections of the designated area of responsibility, report any deviations or hazards.
• Support pipeline and valve operations (under supervision).
• Assist with problem-solving of operational challenges and escalate deviations to site teams.
• Assist with any general assigned site activities as required to support operations.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties in work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Execute all assigned tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Comply with all safety rules, regulations and company procedures

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 / or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of one-year relevant experience
