    SHEQ Assistant (North West)

    PURPOSE

    • This exciting opportunity exists to implement and maintain the Fraser Alexander SHEQ management systems to effectively manage Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality-related risks within the area of responsibility.
    • The role aims to create an environment where employees act responsibly in relation to the risks associated with their specific work environment. It also includes developing basic SHEQ systems in line with client requirements that are not addressed by the existing Fraser Alexander SHEQ system.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Policy, Targets, Objectives, and Goals
    • Ensure that the current SHEQ Policies are displayed in all areas of the
      operation.
    • Ensure that all employees are aware of the SHEQ policy, targets, objectives,
      and goals.

    Legal Aspects and Requirements

    • Ensure company practices comply with legislative requirements.
    • Ensure the submission of applicable statutory documents.
    • Monitor, review, and compile quality datafiles.
    • Conduct quarterly review of appointments in each audit area and update as necessary
    • Advise management/appointees of their roles, responsibilities, and duties.
    • Monitor and review the environmental management plan and the client’s
    • Implement and monitor the project quality plan.

    Risk Assessment

    • Ensure that all contracts have a baseline risk assessment with respect to environmental, quality, and occupational health and safety. monitor the medical status of employees.
    • Ensurecontrolmeasuresforidentifiedhazardsareimplementedandmonitor compliance thereof.

    • Reporting, Recording and/or Review
    • Submit a monthly report to the SHEQ Manager.
    • Report all Disabling or any SHEQ incidents to the SHEQ Manager.
    • Report and assist with incident management.

    SPECIAL PROJECTS

    • Provide ongoing feedback to management throughout the project.
    • Conductaprojectreviewuponcompletiontoensurecontinualimprovement.
    • Liaisewithtechniciansandlaboratorypersonneltocoordinateinspectionand testing schedules

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Diploma in Health and Safety Management.
    • Certified Internal Audit or for Integrated Management Systems.
    • ProvenexperienceimplementingISO14001EnvironmentalManagement systems.
    • First Aid Certification.
    • ProvenexperienceimplementingISO9001QualityManagementSystems.
    • Proven experienceimplementingISO45001OccupationalHealthand Safety Management Systems.

    EXPERIENCE

    • A minimum of 1-2 years’ proven experience in a SHEQ role.
    • Expertise in hazard identification and risk assessment.

    SKILLS,QUALITIESANDABILITIESREQUIRED

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Problem solving.
    • Good Communication(both written and verbal).
    • Report preparation.
    • Filling and maintaining SHEQ documentation.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Integrity and commitment to safety and compliance

    Assistant General Worker (North West)

    PURPOSE

    • To provide general site assistance and support.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with site teams to support the achievement of operational goals and targets.
    • Assist with daily inspections of the designated area of responsibility, report any deviations or hazards.Support pipeline and valve operations (under supervision).
    • Assist with problemsolving of operational challenges and escalate deviations to site teams.
    • Assist with any general assigned site activities as required to support operations.
    • Perform basic housekeeping duties in work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Execute all assigned tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Comply with all safety rules, regulations and company procedures.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Grade 12 or equivalent.

    EXPERIENCE

    • A minimum of one-year relevant experience.

    SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Good communication (verbal and written)

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Positive screening results including criminal.
    • May be expected to work rotating shifts.
    • May be required to work overtime from time to time.
