    Civil & Structural Manager

    Job Description

    • We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil & Structural Manager to join our IHS team. As the Civil & Structural Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of tower profiles within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the structural integrity and safety of our tower assets while optimizing their performance and efficiency. Additionally, you will lead a team of civil and structural engineers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless tower deployment, maintenance, and upgrades. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for innovation in the telecommunications industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Tower Profile Management:
    • Take ownership of all tower profiles within the IHS portfolio.
    • Develop, update, and maintain detailed records of each tower's structural specifications, including dimensions, materials, weight capacities, and load-bearing capabilities.
    • Implement and adhere to industry standards and regulations related to tower structures.
    • Structural Integrity and Safety:
    • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of tower structures to identify potential issues or vulnerabilities.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement structural upgrades or reinforcements as necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations to safeguard personnel and the general public.
    • Civil Engineering Aspects:
    • Oversee civil engineering aspects related to tower foundation design, site grading, access road planning, and drainage systems.
    • Work closely with civil engineers to ensure that tower sites are appropriately prepared for construction and meet local zoning and environmental requirements.
    • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and lead a team of civil and structural engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize their performance.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
    • Collaboration and Project Management:
    • Work closely with other departments, including network planning, operations, and construction, to align tower profiles with business needs.
    • Participate in project planning and provide expert advice to support the successful deployment and integration of tower assets.
    • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Manage the structural department's budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficient strategies while maintaining quality standards.
    • Allocate resources appropriately to achieve operational objectives and meet project deadlines.
    • Industry Knowledge and Innovation:
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in tower design, construction techniques, civil engineering practices, and structural engineering technologies.
    • Drive innovation and explore opportunities to enhance tower performance and efficiency.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience (10 years) in tower profile management, civil engineering, or structural engineering, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of tower design, civil site preparation, analysis, and construction principles.
    • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of successfully leading engineering teams.

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial/Technical Specialist to join our team at IHS Towers. As a Financial/Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company and providing strategic recommendations to drive financial growth and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, risk management, asset movement, monthly reconciliations, and monthly reporting. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing daily and weekly financial reports for the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on asset usage, turnover, run rate, expenses, and petty cash.

    Responsibilities:

    • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and models to support the technical department short-term and long-term goals.
    • Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insights on key financial metrics, trends, and forecasts to senior management.
    • Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend appropriate actions to optimize profitability and cost efficiency.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic financial targets and expense plans.
    • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial forecasts, including variance analysis against budgeted figures.
    • Monitor budget execution, track spending, and provide regular reports to management on budget performance.

    • Purchase Order (PO) Issuance:

    • Collaborate with the procurement team to negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of all diesel-related purchase orders and related documentation.
    • Invoice Tracking and Validation:

    • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate payment of diesel invoices.
    • Controls Over Diesel Process:

    • Work closely with the operations team to establish control mechanisms for diesel distribution, usage tracking, and reconciliation.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
    • Proven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role.

    • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
