    Senior Professional Nurse - Neonatal Critical Care)

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To ensure a safe, positive patient experience by supporting the unit manager in the co-ordination of patient care and management of the unit

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

    • Ensure comprehensive and safe patient care by mitigating risks and meeting set clinical quality standards
    • Manage the patient experience
    • Ensure optimal supply, retention and utilisation of staffing resources
    • Empower and build staff competence through continuous assessment and development
    • Assist with the effective management of operational expenses (including stock and capital)

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    Accounts Controller

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To optimise revenue by ensuring that an accurate account is generated for each patient and the patient file contains all the relevant supporting documentation.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

    • Accurate and timeous billing of all charted items used during the patient's stay
    • Complete all patient files and ensure these contain all documents as well as a final billed account
    • Utilise and control applicable reports to ensure prompt finalisation and rendering of accounts
    • Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication with other departments

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    • ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12
    • DESIRED EDUCATION: None

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None
    • DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as an Accounts Controller; Experience in a healthcare environment

    • Debtors and creditors (invoicing; reconciliation etc.)
    • Anatomy (extremities) and medical terminology
    • Application and implications of tariff agreements of medical aids (e.g. CPP)

    Unit Manager - Medical Ward

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To lead quality and safe patient care experience that meets the set clinical standards through the optimal management of human and organisational resources within a structured unit.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

    • Ensure safe patient care by meeting set clinical quality standards according to company policies and procedures
    • Manage and mitigate clinical risks in the unit
    • Lead and manage the staff in the unit
    • Manage the unit's operational and capital expenses according to financial and budget guidelines and ensure optimal utilisation of resources
    • Manage and actively contribute to a positive patient experience in the hospital
    • Support the achievement of interdepartmental outcomes
    • Manage key stakeholder relations

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    • ESSENTAIL EDUCATION: 3 or 4 year Diploma or 4 year Degree in Nursing
    • DESIRED EDUCATION: Nursing education qualification; Nursing management qualification

    • ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years professional nursing experience in a hospital; 2-3 years leadership experience in a hospital

    Operational Ambulance Emergency Assistant

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To attend to emergency calls and provide intermediate medical care in line with scope of practice.

    • DESIRED EXPERIENCE : 1 year ILS experience
