    Chief Sales Officer (Midrand)

    About the role

    • We are seeking a dynamic Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to build and lead our sales business function and drive business growth across Sub-Saharan Africa. The CSO will focus on improving performance of existing sales channels, activate new sales channels, run an effective sales operating model, and grow and lead high performance inbound and outbound sales teams across all Mezzanine sales channels. The CSO will be accountable for delivering revenue and contract value targets aligned with commercial success metrics e.g. contribution margin, EBIT and cash flow. The CSO will serve on the Mezzanine Executive Committee and report into the CEO.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will be

    • someone with 10 years of digital enterprise solution sales experience and well versed in Software as a Service (SaaS) commercials and negotiations
    • a seasoned sales executive with excellent system-, lateral thinking and deal making ability
    • driven with a proven track-record covering both the science- and art of enterprise (B2B) sales
    • an effective manager that is able to deliver growth in partnership with our appointed sales teams- and channels
    • Good presentation skills and comfortable in professional discussions and complex solution sales negotiations with 3rd parties on C-Level
    • Sub-Saharan Africa work experience in the digital solutions environment and proven track record in working with public enterprise & private multinational corporates with matrix organisations
    • A tertiary qualification - science or commerce
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Be willing to travel extensively across Africa - channel- and customer engagements

    Sales Specialist (Midrand)

    About the role

    • As the Sales Specialist, you will be accountable for delivering the quarterly and annual sales targets across the identified sales channels.

    More specifically, you will be responsible for:

    • Sales: Present and demonstrate an applied understanding of all platforms/solutions, as well as their business models, pricing and value proposition. Identify and proactively develop new sales and opportunities and provide first-line contact for leads where relevant. You will also need to promote the company at selected conferences and exhibitions and support Marketing with marketing material.
    • Account Management: To achieve the annual and quarterly targets, you will identify and communicate upsell, cross-sell and renewal opportunities. You will have to stay on top of accounts, making sure that customers/clients are serviced according to their needs. You will regularly meet with internal teams to find new ways to improve business and clearly communicate progress of initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible to generate progress reports and forecast and track key account metrics.
    • Stakeholder Management: Your role will also include identifying channel sales staff training and development needs, promoting and maintaining a positive working relationship between stakeholders by developing a keen understanding of them and managing engagement and communication.

    Requirements

    • At least 3 years selling ICT solutions
    • Degree in commerce, IT or any other relevant degree
    • Account Management experience
    • Experience with CRM software
    • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions
    • Excellent presentations skills and comfortable in professional and technical discussions
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Willingness to travel across South Africa
    • Drivers license with own vehicle

    • Proven project management skills with experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines.
    • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to interpret client needs, conduct market research, and formulate innovative, impactful solutions.
