    Associate Test Engineer

    About the role: 

    • Associate Automation Test Engineer knows the ins and outs of the Testing Lifecycle and has experience in Test automation. As an individual contributor, you are building a solid foundation at Nintex. You are focused on tasks assigned to you within your teams. You reliably deliver your work typically with the support of other test engineers. You test software artifacts and assist in minor and medium updates to testing frameworks. You will regularly demonstrate ownership and successful identification of defects. All your deliverables will adhere to Nintex’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle and other relevant guidelines. We expect Associate Automation Test Engineer to show a marked progression towards Level 3 within one-two years at Nintex.  

    Your contribution will be:  

    • You test product features of small to medium complexity, identify defects, and document them with detailed reproduction steps. 
    • You write automated UI and integration tests of medium complexity, as well as developing and maintaining test cases/scenarios that are aligned with Nintex coding guidelines and engineering principles.
    • You demonstrate an understanding of CI/CD concepts, test automation concepts and patterns, and using the testing pyramid to identify test candidates for E2E, Integration, Component, and Unit tests.
    • You attend and contribute to team meetings and ceremonies (daily scrum meetings, planning meetings, demos, and retrospective meetings)
    • You proactively learn from others' testing and automation best practices while prioritizing learning to support your delivery team.
    • You own testing activities, seek functional clarity where required, ask questions to understand and improve test coverage, test cases/scenarios, test automation, and prioritize learning to serve your team better.
    • You proactively make small to medium changes to existing test frameworks and pipelines when appropriate.
    • You proactively communicate to your team and delivery manager on your work status and seek any help required.
    • You accept and integrate constructive feedback effectively.
    • You work with a cross-functional project team collaboratively to achieve project goals.

    To be successful, we think you need:  

    • 2+ years experience with automation testing
    • Experience with Selenium, HTML, Postman, .Net MSTest Framework
    • Azure DevOps pipeline experience is highly beneficial
    • ISTQB advantageous

    Automation Test Engineer

    About the role: 

    • Automation Test Engineers focus on automation and work in parallel with their peers on larger test automation projects. You demonstrate a thorough understanding of test automation frameworks and contribute to their support and maintenance. You proactively coach junior members of your group to develop a stronger testing team. You tackle QA issues while adhering to Nintex’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle and other relevant guidelines. You display proficiency in a variety of industry-standard testing tools and quickly pick up new test automation technologies. You have an in-depth understanding of testing concepts and techniques. You are a vital member of the testing team and help your team make meaningful progress. 

    Your contribution will be:  

    • You create both end-to-end and integration tests independently. 
    • You independently create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure their smooth operation.
    • You write moderately complex code to mock-out services for supporting testing activities.
    • You independently diagnose the root cause of defects and enable engineers to fix them on time.
    • You assist in automating non-functional tests with tools that align with Nintex engineering principles.
    • You attend and contribute to team meetings and ceremonies (daily scrum meetings, planning meetings, demos, and retrospective meetings).
    • You proactively learn from others' testing and test automation best practices while prioritizing learning to support your delivery team.
    • You own testing activities, seek functional clarity from stakeholders where required, and collaborate on acceptance criteria, manual testing, and automation.
    • You proactively communicate to your team and delivery manager on your work status and seek any help required.
    • You coach junior team members on the product domain and functions.
    • You promote our culture through the Nintex tenets.

    To be successful, we think you need:  

    • 3+ years experience with automation testing
    • Experience with Postman, PlayWright, JavaScript, Azure, GitHub and JMeter
    • Experience testing AI-based solutions/features highly beneficial

    Engineer

    About the role:

    • As an Engineer, you work in parallel with your peers on larger projects. You take up lead roles on features or product refactoring work. You proactively coach junior members to build a stronger team. You design and implement complex features adhering to Nintex’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle and other relevant guidelines.   
    • You design systems of moderate complexity, and new features in existing or new products. You are knowledgeable about the latest technologies. Your work contributes meaningfully to Nintex's long-term goals for a product.  You are a key member of a team that wholly owns services or components, and your suggestions and solutions help your team make meaningful progress.

    Your contribution will be:  

    • You demonstrate self-sufficiency in at least one large area of the codebase with a high-level understanding of other components.
    • You articulate code design choices clearly and suggest a feasible way forward.
    • Besides being proficient in your chosen technology stack, you pick up new technologies quickly and teach others to use them. You share knowledge with the team and improve team productivity.
    • You implement complex features and act as a primary resource for maintaining existing critical systems.
    • You positively influence the team by having a reputation for getting things done.
    • While experiencing conflict in technical approaches and reviews, you critique technical approaches and coach others on improving their work.

    • 3+ years experience in fullstack software engineering
    • Fantastic communication skills
    • Strong frontend development skills
    • Solid experience with C#.Net and React
    • Experience with unit testing

    Manager, Engineering

    About the role: 

    • The Engineering Manager is responsible for the development and on-time delivery of all technical aspects of a Product (or part thereof), in accordance with the Product plan, which should meet or exceed Nintex’s quality standards.    
    • Engineering Managers work in partnership with Product Managers and are responsible for maintaining the product backlog, iteration planning, communicating stakeholder requests and managing the ongoing development of team members. 

    Your contribution will be:  

    • Engineering 
    • Ensure your team writes correct code, following Nintex standards, guidance, and training materials.
    • Know the core concepts in the Service Reliability strategy and manage your team’s services to SLOs and SLIs.
    • Work closely with Product Management and User Experience Designers to define required product features and behavior in detail, sufficient to create the required design, resourcing, and development plans.
    • Monitor new code and designs to identify where test coverage needs adjustment. Make sure that the test requirements are met and integrated into pipelines appropriately.
    • Gather and assess all the relevant input to make quality, durable decisions  
    • Champion quality, making sure it is a priority in your team and across projects.
    • Follow security best practices, oversee the creation of secure code, and lead teams in threat modeling.  
    • Delivery 
    • Understand and run your team according to agile principles and use data (velocity, burn down, etc.) to track status and improve team performance.
    • Maintain unobstructed vision of the risk factors in your workload including the amount of change introduced, cross-discipline developments, cross-product integrations, or the introduction of new development tools and methodologies.
    • Collaborate with Product Management to prioritize user stories in line with the product roadmap and to plan product release timelines.  
    • Oversee the development of all product features in your domain in a manner that meets delivery commitments.
    • You play your assigned role in the Incident Management process, including contributing where your technical and problem-solving skills apply, and also creating space for your staff to engage as the incident’s impact level requires.

    • Strong background in software engineering i.e. Python, C#.Net etc (8+ years)
    • Experience leading and managing a team (3+ years)
    • Experience with the delivery of AI products would be highly advantageous
    • Experience with ML algorithms, NLP, big data analytics would also be highly advantageous
    • You keep your team and the Delivery manager aware of work status and blockers on time.

    Principal Data Engineer

    About the role: 

    • You are an expert in data acquisition and processing not only in your team’s domain, but also across Nintex. Your technical leadership demonstrates a passion for quality data engineering and is demonstrated across multiple, complex projects and in assistance to other teams. You mentor other engineers and provide experienced advice in your specialties across other teams. You look for opportunities to mine data from development and operations that usefully informs development and product decisions. Your data engineering pipelines are designed with the possible downstream requirements of data analysts and scientists in mind. 
    • As a Principal Data Engineer, you are focused on the work of your team and domain, but you also have a larger role across Nintex and in the outside data engineering community. You will participate in larger projects on occasion, but your focus is designing, developing, implementing and mentoring on your team’s assigned deliverables. 

    Your contribution will be:  

    • You ensure that data history is sufficient for data science modelling requirements.
    • You identify and forward Intellectual Property (IP) opportunities to the Nintex Patent process.
    • You coordinate the data inputs from multiple sources to fashion an end-to-end pipeline to create report artifacts that meet all reporting objectives of management stakeholders.
    • You create and maintain instrumentation that surfaces data ingestion systems’ stability and availability metrics.
    • You use Azure event hubs and functions to implement required data operations while leveraging Azure product strengths and compensating for its limitations (scaling, error handling, and etc.).
    • You apply different data pipeline architectures appropriately to meet product requirements (data warehouse, data lake, data lakehouse, etc.).
    • You identify and implement opportunities to optimize ETL processing to efficiently process large data sets.
    • You develop or adapt partitioning and data organization techniques for optimal querying of big data.
    • You implement data storage, access structures, and security protocols that meet Nintex’s data sovereignty and Personally Identifying Information (PII) policies.
    • You are an active part of the incident management process, including on-call rotation and being a key resource in the escalation response.
    • You work with data providers to document the incoming data stream’s domain boundaries, datatypes, and term definitions in sufficient detail to enable transformation of the data for end-user consumption. 

    To be successful, we think you need:  

    • You have 8+ years experience in data engineering
    • Hands-on experience with PaaS
    • Experience with DataBricks, Azure, Unity Catalog
    • Experience with Hadoop/Spark, Kafka and Azure OpenAI
    • Experience with Scala and Python is advantageous
    • Experience with real-time data streaming and any distributed computing experience would be advantageous
