    Warehouse Clerk - Polokwane Distribution Centre

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure the entire team is trained on all the SOPs pertaining to the Warehouse 
    • Ensure all operational gaps are dealt with in a timeous manner, and systems put in place to avoid re-occurrence
    • Ensure all pallet bays are clearly labelled with the description of the product in the bay
    • Ensure there is a dedicated bay at all times for discontinued/discarded/damaged stock and it is correctly used as per SOP
    • Ensure stock Take SOP is strictly adhered, and all variances accounted for on the weekly stock take
    • For all non-accounted stock, thoroughly investigate and ensure the proper action is taken
    • Ensure PARS are maintained
    • Search for suppliers and compare prices
    • Work closely with procurement to ensure the DC is sufficiently and efficiently stocked
    • Warehouse Daily Report to be sent out daily 
    • Ensure goods received are at the correct pricing such that claims can be raised immediately.
    • Ensure stock is brought into the department only if a warehouse personnel signed of and must be present with a handover from the Receiving Team
    • Ensure access control is strictly maintained, all entry and exit points to be closed when not is use (for stock movement)
    • Ensure a cleaning checklist is in use in the warehouse to ensure cleaning standards are maintained in the warehouse
    • Assist with Ad Hoc duties
    • Ensure Delivery Overs, Shorts & Damages are investigated and rectified timeously
    • Ensure temperature sensitive products are managed from receiving, to storage, picking and in transportation such that it does not affect product quality - work closely with Logistics
    • Ensure only current items appear on the portal as available to purchase for stores
    • Ensure all staff are always in uniform and the correct PPE
    • Ensure all QIRs raised against the department are given the attention it deserves to rectify and close of, and to avoid re-occurrence
    • Ensure the department has a closing checklist in place to ensure all criticals are tackled before close of business
    • Key areas to focus on are Inventory Management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, material handling, warehouse  organisation, record keeping, safety compliance, team collaboration and customer service

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have a diploma / degree in warehousing, supply chain or a similar field
    • Must have prior experience in warehousing
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in using inventory and FIFO systems
    • Proficient in Sage and MS Office Suite

    Logistics Manager - Polokwane Distribution Centre

    • A Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the groups logistics and supply chain operations. The role involves planning and implementing efficient strategies for the movement of goods, inventory control, and coordination of transportation and distribution. The role will focus on cost effectiveness solutions, timely delivery, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies that align with the organization's goals, ensuring efficient product movement and distribution
    • Oversee the supply chain process, from inventory management to order fulfillment
    • Implement inventory control measures, including stock tracking, demand forecasting, and cycle counts to optimize stock levels
    • Plan and coordinate transportation activities, including route optimization, carrier selection, and the negotiation of favourable shipping terms
    • Enforce quality control standards to maintain product quality throughout the supply chain and distribution processes
    • Monitor and manage logistics costs, including transportation, storage, and inventory expenses, while identifying cost-saving opportunities
    • Leverage logistics software, such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS), to optimize operations and enhance visibility
    • Develop contingency plans and respond to unforeseen logistical challenges or disruptions to minimize operational downtime
    • Lead, mentor, and manage logistics staff, including task delegation, performance evaluations, and skills development

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (a degree in supply chain management or logistics is a plus)
    • Proven experience in supply chain management
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Technical experience in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, Transportation Management, Distribution Management, Logistics Software, Quality Control and Assurance
    • Must have experience with tracking systems
    • Strong Numerical and Analytical Skills
    • Experience with inventory systems

    Finance Business Partner

    • To acts as a strategic financial partner, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making by collaborating closely with non-finance stakeholders. Focusing on financial planning, forecasting, performance monitoring, and identifying opportunities to optimize financial performance, all while aligning with the overall business strategy.
    • Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business operational strategies. Initiating change to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered. Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams. Supporting senior management to plan, budget and forecast effectively.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • A strong understanding of the retail and/or FMCG sectors
    • Effective communication and presentation skills

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have a CA (SA) qualification
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Retail / FMCG sector
    • Effective communication and presentation skills
    • Understanding the link between the finance and operations functions
    • Retail sector experience
    • Own transport and valid driver’s licence
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strategic and independent thinking
    • Willing to be involved operationally and having a hands on approach

    Bookkeeper

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Financial reporting, maintaining fixed asset registers, the accounting function, implementing SOP’s and analysis of financial reports
    • Financial reporting: Collate, prepare and interpret reports
    • Review the accounts payable, and accounts receivable records
    • Inventory valuation and verification of count sheets
    • Ensuring tax compliance and compliance with statutory regulations
    • Audit process and ensuring financial statements are completed
    • Managing budgets and variance analysis
    • Implement internal controls and SOP’s
    • Liaising with the operations team

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Relevant qualification in accounting/finance
    • Experienced in the full bookkeeping function including the preparation of monthly management accounts (not just printing off a system but experienced in the analysis and adding in commentary/ notes to justify variances etc)
    • Experience with Pastel Evolution, Sage 50/ Sage 200 or similar system - advantageous
    • FMCG, Fast Food or retail industry experience – advantageous
    • Full MS Office
    • International experience - advantageous
