    BI Developer – Market Intelligence

    REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 6-8 years of Business Analytics with 3 to 5 years specific experience as a BI Developer and at Specialist/ supervisory level
    •  Matric, Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) degree in qualification in Finance / Data science, Any additional qualification specific to energy sector is desirable
    • Honours (NQF Level 8) or postgraduate diploma (NQF Level 8) as an added advantage.
    • Experience with designing and developing BI reports based on needs analysis
    • Experience with SQL, ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
    • Experience integrating data from multiple sources (including financial databases, CRM systems and market research platforms)
    • Experience with predictive modelling and statistical analysis techniques

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

     BI Report development

    • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive BI reports and dashboards that consolidate data from multiple internal and external sources.
    • Integrate diverse datasets (e.g., financial, market, operational) to create a holistic view of market trends, investment performance, and portfolio analytics.
    • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reports, utilizing data cleansing and transformation processes where necessary.

    Data Integration and Management

    • Extract, load, and integrate data from multiple sources such as financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ), internal CRM systems, and external market reports.
    • Build data pipelines and automate data integration processes to streamline reporting and analysis.
    • Maintain data storage systems and ensure the accuracy and availability of data for reporting and analysis purposes.

    Advanced Analytics and Insights

    • Perform advanced data analysis to provide insights into market trends, industry dynamics, and economic factors that influence investment decisions.
    • Use data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to present complex data in an easily understandable format for stakeholders.
    • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that track the performance of the firm’s investments and market positioning

    Support to investment team

    • Work closely with investment teams to understand their information needs and develop tailored BI solutions to support deal origination, due diligence, and portfolio management.
    • Provide real-time data insights that help inform investment strategies and identify emerging opportunities or risks.
    • Support decision-making by delivering ad-hoc analyses and customized BI reports as requested by senior leadership.

    Data governance and quality assurance

    • Implement data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security in all BI reports and dashboards.
    • Perform regular quality checks on data and reports to maintain high standards of reporting integrity.
    • Ensure continuous improvement through technology and tools optimisation

    Energy Market Intelligence Lead

    REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 6-8 experience in the Energy sector with 3- 5 years specifically as an Energy analyst /specialist
    •  Matric, Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) degree in qualification in in Finance / Economics, Any additional qualification specific to energy sector is desirable
    • Honours (NQF Level 8) or postgraduate diploma (NQF Level 8) as an added advantage.
    • Masters (NQF Level 9) qualification is desirable as an added advantage.
    • Experience in tracking/analyzing market trends, technology innovation, regulatory developments & competitive dynamics
    • Experience required with reviewing business cases
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Market research tools, scenario planning and analytics platforms

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

     Business case analysis

    • Review and analyse business case proposals and provide insight and guidance in terms of moving forward based on latest research trends
    • Conduct thorough market research and feasibility studies to assess risks and returns by comparing it to similar projects in similar contexts

     Market Analysis

    • Monitor and report on energy markets, regulatory changes and technological advancements and its impact on the organisation’s portfolio
    • Develop and maintain knowledge management system & Library specifically focused on energy research

    Scenario Development 

    • Conduct detailed scenario planning initiatives on the broad energy prospects and trends to support the group planning process
    • Translate scenarios into Macro and Micro market variables by identifying appropriate energy drivers associated with the scenario planning exercise
    • Provide support to various organisational work streams on understanding and analysing outputs from scenario development exercises

    Reporting

    • Responsible for integrating and consolidating the energy -related data for the division into a report
    • Responsible for ensuring the submission of different reports by working collaboratively with the General Managers to meet the deadlines

    Organisational Development (OD) Practitioner

    REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

    • 6 years in Organisational Development of which 3 years as an OD Practitioner  
    • Honours (NQF Level 8) or postgraduate diploma (NQF Level 8)  
    • Registered with HPCSA  as a Psychometrist or Industrial Psychologist (Advantage) 
    • MCOM Industrial and Organisational Psychology (Desirable)

    • Assist with the review of divisional designs and identify opportunities for improvement based on research and benchmarking  
    • Responsible for the development, review and updating of job profiles according to confirmed structure  
    • Responsible for conducting job evaluations and making recommendations for job grading or re-grading requests  

    Employee Engagement  

    • Conduct employee engagement sessions and report on findings  
    • Develop interventions to implement as a result of the findings  

    Competency Framework 

    • Identify and define key competencies based on the outcome of the organisational design process  
    • Develop and maintain competency library  
    • Identify tools or develop assessments to assess competencies  

    Content development 

    • Development of internal training content to develop identified competencies  
    • Facilitation of internal training courses 

    Metrics 

    • Development of surveys and metrics to measure performance in corporate services.
