    Quantity Surveyor

    Position Overview:

    • The QS is a key member of the construction team and is required to assist in the management of the various projects to within the predetermined costs budgets and build time frames. This position requires the incumbent to be proficient in the extraction of quantities from architectural drawings and the compiling of Bills of Quantities to provide accurate cost data. A decent knowledge of industry pricing standards is required. Thorough knowledge of sub-contractor payment claim procedures is also required. Key to this position is the ability to interact professionally with consultants, sub-contractors and work colleagues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare detailed BOQs using Win QS
    • Preparing cost reports
    • Preparing sub - contractor tender documents and preparing cost comparison schedules
    • Conduct site inspections to verify contractor claims
    • Preparing monthly payment certificates
    • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
    • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for potential projects
    • Monitor and control project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment
    • Prepare and review tender documents and contracts
    • Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts and payments
    • Prepare and submit progress and final payment claims
    • Identify and manage project risks related to cost and financial management
    • Provide regular cost reports and updates to project managers and stakeholders
    • Conduct cost audits and value engineering exercises
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards
    • Mentor and train junior quantity surveyors and other team members as needed

    Requirements:

    • BSC (Hons) Degree in Quantity Surveying
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry

    Skills: 

    • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and project management
    • Proficient in using industry-standard software, such as Excel, CostX, and CCS
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS) is preferred but not required

    IT Support Administrator

    Position Overview:

    • Provide administrative support to the Technical Team, from initial enquiry, through the processing of quotations and sales documentation, to order, procurement and completion. Liaising with other departments to ensure our customers receive great service. The role also includes general IT and desktop support and operational assistance to the technical team.

    Responsibilities:

    Inventory Management

    • Stock and inventory procurement and management.
    • Assist with procurement, IT equipment, phone, network ICT etc ensuring that minimum inventory levels are maintained.
    • Management of 3rd parties, compare quotes, and negotiate best prices from suppliers.
    • Assist with establishment and maintenance of preferred suppliers per region.
    • Liaise internally with relevant stakeholders, providing feedback on projects, etc.
    • Maintain and update asset register across all offices with finance team.
    • Assist with insurance register and claims relating to IT equipment.
    • Inventory management and stock take reconciliations.

    General

    • Provide general and financial administrative support.
    • Initiating, coordinating and capturing of purchase orders.
    • Internal cost recovery coordination.
    • Assist with maintaining accounts by verifying, allocating and posting transactions.

    BIM GLA Deaughtsman

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    • We are seeking the experience of a qualified and experienced BIM GLA Draughtsman. The successful candidate will among other duties collaborate with engineers and architects during data exchange and establishing strong network communication with stakeholders.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • GLA modeling manager for a large property portfolio and in-house multi disciplinary practice.
    • Refining and growing portfolio as built area model database for data lake export alongside BIM Manager to Archibus.
    • Maintaining current GLA schedules to reflect measured as built building fabric against agreed lease values in MDA.
    • Custodian of GLA records for the portfolio.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • N.Dip Candidate Architectural Technology.
    • Autodesk accredited AEC Fundamentals Certificates.
    • Technologists position for a minimum 5 years.
    • Experience with Adobe and all Autodesk AEC suite software.
    • SAPOA methods for calculating building areas.
    • Preparing as built ,models for surveys, scans and pdf records.

    SKILLS

    • Highly disciplined and practical application of SAPOA methods.
    • Competency on Revit and associated AEC plugins.
    • Experience in Archibus will be advantageous.

    Draughtsman

    Job Description:

    • We are seeking a skilled Draughtsman to join our team full-time. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for construction projects. The draughtsman will work closely with our design team to translate their ideas and concepts into accurate and precise drawings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct site inspections and measurements of existing and newly acquired Multi-storey commercial, retail, and industrial properties for the preparation of As-built drawings.
    • Verify the accuracy of existing building plans and dimensions
    • Prepare accurate 3D As-built Revit models based of site measurements and any existing drawing information available
    • Verify the accuracy and update existing building models including the tenant allocations and positioning
    • Prepare accurate GLA layout drawings from as-built Building Models in accordance with SAPOA Guidelines
    • Populate and compile GLA Spreadsheets using data and information from the GLA layout drawings
    • Update all existing/historic GLA data and information into the current GLA spreadsheet format
    • Maintain, organize and keep up-to-date GLA drawings and spreadsheets of the groups buildings with regards to tenancy for distribution to various departments within the group
    • Provide assistance and feedback to interdepartmental queries regarding specific building GLA information.

    Requirements: 

    • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a draughtsman in the architecteral industry
    • Working knowledge and previous experience working with Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Preferably previous experience/knowledge of GLA and SAPOA Guidelines and method for measuring floor areas in buildings
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
