    Coordinator Payroll Processing - Johannesburg

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • This role is a permanent full-time position.
    • As a Coordinator payroll processing, you will be responsible to provide support, coordination and administration for the activities of the Payroll Processing function within GBS and to process global payrolls and statutory vendor reconciliations and payments with timely, accurate and customer-focused execution for South32.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Analyse and apply country specific legislative requirements to underlying processes for scheduled and unscheduled payroll runs, vendor reporting and payments;
    • Manage allocated cases within required SLA’s;
    • Ensuring integrity of positive assurance program for the function;
    • On time close out of all assigned G360 actions.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum 3 years experience in HR / Payroll processing or a Shared Services Environment.;
    • Experience in SAP;
    • Outsourced payroll data managements and compliance reviews.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • National Advanced Certificate (2 years) in Finance, HR or Business Administration.

    Supervisor Production Execution Paste Plant - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • This role is a permanent full-time position.
    • As a Supervisor Production Execution Paste Plant,  you will be part of the management team accountable to manage all dayshift activities for Paste Plant and fully support the Paste Plant shift teams In Carbon.
    • You will be responsible to supervise the execution of production and logistics activities undertaken by front-line operational personnel and lead in line with the schedule, standards and performance targets for People, HSECQ, Volume & Cost.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Provide day-to-day supervision, expertise and direction to a Production team within an operation area to ensure delivery against plans;
    • Supervise and lead the execution of the production plan in order to achieve established performance targets;
    • Ensure Production employees and contractors adhere to work standards, are competent, and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work;
    • Provide input into production or logistics strategies, budgets, and plans as well as the improvement of work management processes and critical controls for material risks;
    • Supervise, coach and mentor employees to deliver performance by setting Key Performance Indicators, conducting performance reviews and creating personal development plans;
    • Contribute to building a cohesive working environment.
    • Provide relevant and specialised technical support, where required, to peers and colleagues to ensure the achievement of objectives;
    • Identify and develop cost-effective processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost drivers. Continuously review cost vs. benefit and report recommendations.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • A minimum of 4 - 6 years’ experience in Production / Industrial area of which 1 year in a supervisory capacity in a production field;
    • Be prepared to work shifts if needed;
    • Perform standby duties from time to time as required by the organization;
    • Computer literacy (MS Office).

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Degree / National Diploma in a Technical field of study;
    • Valid Trade Test would be advantageous.

    Onsetter - Wessels Mine

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • This role is a permanent full-time position.
    • As an Onsetter, you will be responsible to safely lower and raise Men and material into and from shaft conveyances and to give the necessary signals at the bank.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Conduct regular checks on all signaling devices and signaling lights;
    • Control all shaft entrances (Bank and Station) and allow safe access to Shaft Conveyances;
    • Give and receive correct signals to/from the Winding Engine Driver for starting and stopping conveyances;
    • Lower and raise Men, material, and Explosives into and from shaft conveyance;
    • Test signaling devices for proper operation;
    • Report any faults and sub-standard conditions;
    • Maintain housekeeping standards in the Bank/Station area;
    • Assist with conducting shaft examinations and repairs (signaling).

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in position as Onsetter;
    • Conversant in explosives handling.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Serious contenders will have a Grade 12;
    • Valid Onsetter Certificate is essential;
    • Valid Code 08 Driver’s license is essential.

    Operator Process Controller in Training - Mamatwan Mine

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • This role is a permanent full-time position.
    • As an Operator Process Controller in Training, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the safe and efficient execution of Processing activities.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Conduct Plant inspections and ensure plant readiness on SCADA;
    • Monitor and control plant operation;
    • Communicate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure production targets are met;
    • Monitor stockpile levels, plant operating parameters and product quality
    • Troubleshooting and correction of deviations in the process;
    • Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure compliance to plant safe operating procedures
    • Utilise SCADA and Ampla systems to capture and monitor production data;
    • Provide assistance as a holder in excecuting shutdown processing work;
    • Relieve the Production Supervisor if required:

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a processing plant.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Grade 12;
    • Valid driver's license;
    • Mineral Processing level 2 qualification;
    • Mineral Processing Level 3 qualification is advantageous.
