    Assistant Buyer: 3 Months FTC

     

    About The Job

    The incumbent is responsible for the procurement of all engineering spare parts, equipment and services required by the plant. These purchases require the exercise of independent judgment and/or functional work direction of department members to ensure the combination of quality, service and price is optimized.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    • Procure goods and services from approved vendor list, local and overseas, and maintain adequate sources of supply to ensure that the function’s (requisitioners) requirements for assigned materials, equipment and services are obtained in an efficient manner
    • Constantly evaluating new sources of supply and forward to Purchasing Manager / internal customers for approval. These tasks need to be performed within Danone’s sourcing strategies.
    • Ensure adherence to procedures and controls for the Danone Purchasing function to ensure that all purchasing activities are conducted in accordance with ethical standards and practices and compliance with Danone’s Code of Conduct.
    • Ensure establishment & proper implementation of procedures & controls for all of the Company’s Purchasing activities.
    • Administer Purchasing function administration duties, i.e. vendor file maintenance, Open order management, maintain purchasing filing system, effective expediting of open orders and vendor assessment and evaluation system.
    • Participation in regular and effective cross-functional teamwork with key customers (internal & external) to ensure support and commitment to business objectives.
    • Implement Sourcing Strategies, short, medium, and long term to contribute to the Company’s operating profit and working capital objectives.
    • Implement plans to increase sourcing activity with suppliers whom will contribute to our cost and product quality objectives and standards.
    • Implement Vendor Partnerships to maximize cost, product quality and lead-time reduction opportunities
    • Develop detailed knowledge of existing and potential supply base for Industrial, and identifying potential productivity projects
    • Compiling tender documents and preparing recommendations/adjudications for identified Industrial spend
    • Negotiate with and influence suppliers to achieve improved service and pricing
    • Negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors

    Innovations Planner

    About The Job

    To provide operational coordination to all activities (Innovations, renovations, promotions) throughout their lifecycle, to ensure on-time delivery within cost and quality parameters.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    Main Function

    • Accepting end accountability for the successful delivery of identified objectives of CODEV projects as the Supply Chain representative of a multi-skilled team [PTM].
    • Initiating change through participating in the strategic planning of key projects as well as efficiently managing the project process developed to secure timely product deliveries, minimise losses, optimise time to market, and improve customer service.
    • Build project timelines
    • Planning and communicating project operational execution including Run in/Run outs, Master data changes, Raw Material ordering, production scheduling and write offs.
    • Identify project risks and prepare/communicate business case scenarios for informed decision making (High Write off’s, material airfreight, volume reduction impact)

    Duties

    • Include and Update Supply Chain Activities in all project timelines including planning and distribution tasks (Ship to trade)
    • Ensure All master data is updated;
    • Barcode numbers and finished goods codes are applied for, created and listed.
    • R&P item codes are applied for and created
    • Bill of Material (BOM) is created and updated for production planning, declaration, and procurement purposes.
    • New items Forecasting is created and updated within the planning tool for production and procurement purposes.
    • Facilitate the calculation of the launch volumes of Raw Material and Packaging for ordering purposes and ensure the on-time delivery to meet project deadlines.
    • Request Capacity & Feasibility scenarios from Supply Planning Manager
    • Manage Supplier communication on all projects including launch volume forecast, new material codes and getting commitment on timely deliveries.
    • Communicating project changes to the SC planning team & Logistics provider.
    • Coordinate and track the Run-out/Run-In of old and new Raws & Packs.
    • Attend Weekly Project team meetings.
    • Attend weekly Procurement meeting to give feedback on the progress of all projects.
    • Manage the updating of write off provisions.
    • Facilitate execution of Innovation and productivity projects (secure factory trials, flag risks, etc)
    • Liaise with Supply planning and Inventory Specialist on inputs for optimal FG inventory for launch stock covers
    • Ensure and drive Innovation Assumption Document for all innovations with demand planners

    Qualifications

    About you

    • Degree/Diploma (Logistics, Supply chain, Engineering, Project Management)

    Work Experience And Skills

     

    • Minimum of 5 years proven relevant experience in a similar role
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, MS Windows and MS Excel
    • Good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to communicate to all levels within the organisation

    Senior Brand Manager

     

    About The Job

    To be responsible for growing the brand equity and Danone’s presence in the market. An ultimate measure of success will be to successfully launch new products profitably into the market and maintain presence and sustainability.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    Planning and Strategy

    • Has complete ownership of the project planning and implementation required to achieve the targets and intentions of the brand strategy
    • Support the Marketing Manager by providing input on the overall strategies of
    • Communication (ATL and BTL)
    • Innovation, extension (growing the brand) and renovation (changes made to the brand)

    Performance

    • Take accountability for brands within a portfolio
    • Monitor sales performance (volume, value, profitability) of brand
    • Identify opportunities for growth within brand, and give clear recommendations, and motivations for decisions taken

    Product Management

    • Support the Marketing Manager in product and concept development, that is tailor made for specific target markets
    • Monitor product profitability
    • Manage projects where required, including ensuring the profitability of the project and product launches

    Brand Management

     

    • Take ownership of a brand portfolio and project manage the implementation of brand plans relating to a specific portfolio
    • Give input into media planning and spend
    • Together with the Marketing Manager, manage the creative development process for all “Above the line” communication with the advertising agency
    • Project manage all the “Below the line” activity, including sampling and activations, Point of Sale, and launches, where required

    Integration

    • Support the S&I Team in all their research requirements including U&A, qualitative and quantitative research, and taste tests

    • Take overall accountability for the budget of the brand portfolio
    • Oversee the day-to-day management the budget by relevant team member
    • Attend the monthly meeting to give feedback on the budget tracker
    • Give input, where applicable, into the budget setting process

    Management and Leadership

    • Manage and motivate direct reports in the delivery of team objectives, if applicable
    • Conduct internal performance management and IDP processes fairly and consistently, resulting in transparent succession planning and specific development areas

    Academic And Trade Qualifications

    • 3-year Marketing or Business-related degree
    • Honors or post-graduate qualification in marketing is an advantage

    Work Experience And Skills

    • Minimum of 5 years in Brand Management and FMCG
    • 1-2 years of managing individuals or a marketing team is an advantage
    • Exposure to, and understanding of P&L and ROI management is critical
    • Previous experience in working within a cross-functional team is required
