    Executive Assistant - Exco

    Job Description    

    • Maintain a professional, confidential, efficient and integral support to the Chief Executive Officer and Exco Team.
    • Keep Executive electronic diaries up to date, schedule meetings and events as well as relevant appointments.
    • Screening calls, assist with queries, and pass on queries to the relevant person where applicable.
    • Preparing executive and senior management packs.
    • Organizing cross functional meetings, company events or conferences, including room preparation, and coordination of catering requirements.
    • Act as the principal liaison person between the Exco and other stakeholders.
    • Keep and maintain an accurate record of papers and electronic correspondence on behalf of Exco.
    • Minute general meetings as required for the Executive team.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between DetNet and the Travel Agent Services, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of all corporate travel arrangements.
    • Arrange all Exco’s local and international travel arrangements: flight bookings, hotel accommodation, car hire and itineraries.
    • After-hours contact for emergency travel support for all DetNet travellers.
    • Responsible and accountable for the company forex administrative process, receipt and issue of forex to Exco.
    • Oversee and coordinate local and foreign travel claims for Exco.
    • Manage the receptionist function, ensuring professional front-desk operations, effective visitor management, and a high standard of customer service.
    • Manage administrative duties of office supplies, stock control of office consumables to ensure availability, cost-efficiency and optimal usage.
    • Manage and co-ordinate facilities of local DetNet sites.
    • Managing cost centre budgets for Service Charges and Building.
    • Ensure compliance with governance and compliance policies and procedures
    • Provide day-to-day ad hoc support related to business operations.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric
    • Post matric qualification preferably in Office Management or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Executive assistant role.
    • Advanced computer literacy and experience in MS Office
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro, Power Bi, TravelIt etc.
    • Very good command of the English language (spoken and written).
    • The ability to interact effectively at all levels.
    • Document Control system knowledge.
    • Good Administration skills.

    Logistics Analyst

    Job Description    
    Purpose of the job    

    • Responsible for analysing and interpreting data as well as supplying logistical information to help in the development of cost-effective, efficient, timely, and high-quality logistics solutions.
    • Often collaborates with the Transport Manager, Shipping Manager and other organizational stakeholders.

    Required outputs: Functional

    • Develop statistical and financial models, in addition to utilizing internal transport management system, to explore cost-cutting and efficiency options in the logistics process.
    • Provide regular reports and statistics on certain aspects of the logistics process, such as supplier analysis and transportation costs.
    • Assess logistics activities and achieve desired operational results by applying knowledge and research approaches.

    Procurement Manager - Materials

    Job Description    

    • Develop and execute fact-based category strategies on a regional level in close alignment with stakeholders.
    • Budget, costs and price management.

    Nutritionist

    Job Description    

    • To protect traceability of manufactured goods
    • To evaluate the chemical and nutritional value of raw materials to provide technical advice to clients, the sales team, factory and procurement
    • To load and review specifications of clients on portal and approve
    • To maintain quality and food safety management systems

    Required outputs: Functional

    • Responsible for providing technical support and responses to Account Managers and clients where required.
    • Create and load premixes onto AECI Animal health admin portal
    • Final approvals of premixes.
    • To assist customers and Account Managers with technical queries and passwords on the Admin portal.
    • To assist with the maintenance and updating of the Admin portal.
    • Assist with quality of manufacturing, recalls as well as expired / short dated stock management as required.
    • Approval for replacements for factory.
    • Communicate with Quality Control regarding approvals of raw materials and finished products and quality thereof for use in the factory subsequent to procurement.
    • Monitor activities under the incumbent’s control with the aim of improving overall productivity.
    • To possess the ability to solve problems systematically.
    • To appreciate the importance of customer satisfaction and responding to this accordingly

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • A registered Nutritionist as per SACNASP regulations.
    • Applicants without SACNASP registration will not be considered for the position.
    • Minimum education Grade 12 with tertiary qualification of an MSc Animal Science degree and 3 years of experience equivalent to qualify for Pr. Sci. Nat
    • Must have a solid understanding of animal feed and nutrition.
    • Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license, have own reliable transport and be medically fit to drive.

    Reagent Operator X2

    Job Description    

    • To ensure the requirements of the client specific battery limits for the operation of plant reagents are met and also ensure that deviations related to reagents including anything that can affect the running of reagents is reported

    Senior Process Controller

    Job Description    

    • Oversee, troubleshoot & operate distillation, hydrolysis & utilities.
    • The SPC is responsible to supervise the entire team and is the responsible site representative afterhours.
    • Maximise distillation production yields & optimise daily water & energy usage.
    • Start-up boilers and thermal hot-oil furnaces from cold, inspect all boiler and thermal heater ancillary equipment before start-up.
    • Conduct water treatment for boilers, record and action adjustments accordingly for out of specification process variable(s).
    • Operate and conduct water testing on demineralisation and softener plants and record analysis; also conduct chemical(s) adjustments accordingly.
    • Operate the Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit, conduct effluent water testing, also action chemical(s) adjustments according to an off specification process variable(s).
    • Facilitate and discuss safety talks with the production team.
    • Provide a strong focus on monitoring and improving plant efficiencies and waste minimisation.
    • Supervise and direct activities with a focus on creating a safe working environment through a zero-tolerance approach to unsafe practices and conditions and by adherence to Manufacturing Best Practice.
    • Conduct water treatment on cooling water system, record results and action chemical(s) adjustments when required.
    • Demonstrate strong SHE & PSM attributes in the manufacturing and support processes.
    • Ability to adequately respond and attend to emergencies. 

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • NQF 4 Chemical Operations
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operating a distillation and fractionation plant.
    • Sound knowledge and practical experience on the operation of boilers, thermal heaters, air compressors, steam ejector vacuum systems, etc.
    • Demonstration of strong SHE & PSM leadership qualities in previous positions.
