    Assistant Director Financial Reporting

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12 certificate, a recognised 3-year Degree or Diploma (NQF Level 6/7) in Financial Accounting or Finance with at least 5 years of proven relevant experience in the field of financial management with emphasis on financial reporting.

    Duties :

    Clinical Programme Coordinator: Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Grade 1

    Requirements :

    • Valid Grade 12 Certificate. Basic qualification Accredited with SANC in terms of Government Notice 425 (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse, a minimum of 7 years appropriate /recognisable experience in nursing after registration with SANC as a General Professional Nurse.

    Duties :

    • Implementation of the National Infection Prevention and Control Strategic Framework. Development and Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures in IPC, waste management, environmental health, and cleaning as well as decontamination of medical devices.
    • Perform the duties of a Waste Management Officer for the institutions well as environmental health.
    • Making sure that the institution complies with Ideal Hospital Realisation Framework, IPC standards and guidelines and IPC components as stipulated by WHO.
    • Conduct training on IPC, Health Care Waste Management, environmental Health comply monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Conduct monitoring on compliance by conducting spot checks, planned audits to ensure compliance with IPC, waste management, environmental health as well as antimicrobial stewardship, respiratory hygiene and surveillance of health care associated infections and present feedback and recommendations in management meetings.
    • Develop plans to deal with outbreaks according to National Guidelines on Epidermic preparedness and response.
    • Develop IPC and HCW champions and conduct scheduled monthly meetings to identify gaps. Work harmoniously with all stakeholders including Supply Chain to ensure that there is adequate and relevant stock for the programme.
    • Develop systems and processes for sterilisation and the cleaning department to meet the IPC and HCWM. Participate in the development of the demand plan for the programme by providing correct specifications as the end user and make sure that everything is procured within the first quarter of the financial year. Conduct awareness campaigns as per activities of the WHO and National Department of Health calendar.

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics.
    • Registration with the HPCSA as a Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics.
    • A minimum of three years’ appropriate experience as a Prosthodontic Specialist after registration with the HPCSA or similarly recognised statutory registration authority, with preference given to those with more years of clinical experience that includes academic management and postgraduate dental education and research supervision. Must have appropriate clinical skills with special focus on Maxillofacial Prosthodontics; Implantology; contemporary Prosthodontics, amongst others.

Proven ability to conduct and supervise research activities. Published research record, with a minimum of four publications in peer reviewed accredited journals.     Medical Specialist - Grade 1 - Neuro-Surgery

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Neuro-Surgeon. Registration with the HPCSA as Neuro-surgeon and Current registration for 2025/2026
    • Confirmation of fellowship results from the College of Neuro-surgery in the College of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA).

    Duties :

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualifications, certificate of registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner and valid current annual registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

    Work experience:

    Duties :

    • Providing comprehensive medico-legal investigation of death services, inclusive of death scene attendance, after-hour services during the week and over weekends, performance of forensic post mortem examinations including medico-legal autopsies, preparation of relevant medico-legal reports and court attendance;
    • Supporting the implementation of a standardised, quality forensic pathology service; Completing documents for statistical and data analysis purposes; maintenance of records;

    Assistant Director - Therapeutic & Medical Support Services - Grade 1 (Speech Therapy or Audiology)

    Requirements :

    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Speech Therapy and Audiology, Speech Therapy or Audiology.

    Requirements :

    • Assistance with equipment tender preparation, evaluation and acceptance. Understand and use software packages for gamma cameras and PET reconstruction, responsible for QA on the divisional network between imaging systems, and participation in the management team of the Division of Nuclear Medicine.     Assistant Director Clinical Technologist

    Requirements :

    • An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPSCA as Clinical Technologist. Current registration with HPCSA for 2025/2026 as a Clinical Technologist in cardiology.
    • A minimum of three (03) years’ after registration with HPCSA of which five (05) years’ must be appropriate experience in management/Chief clinical Technologist.

    Duties :

To participate and supervise clinical research projects of Clinical Technologist students and departmental research projects. Participate in all provincial activities organized by Department of Health and private sector [Medical equipment companies]. Monitor compliance among staff in the unit.

    Chief Audiologist Grade 1

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in Speech Therapy and Audiology.
    • Completion of a short course in Additional Licensing in Cochlear Implants and experience in cochlear implant assessment and management is a prerequisite. If the applicant has not already obtained additional licensing in cochlear implants, then proof of acceptance into a short course in cochlear implant management in 2020 is required at the time of the interview.
    • Knowledge of the relevant public service regulations, policies, acts and procedures. Ability to work under pressure. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to comply with budgeting, Quality Assurance, National Core Standards, Health and Safety and Infection Control Principles. Good teamwork and problem-solving skills. Management of a team and/or program will be an added advantage.

    Duties :

    • Responsible for the assessment, counselling and management of individuals who may require implantable hearing devices such as cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing devices. To carry out a broad range of audiological procedures, including diagnostic hearing assessment and hearing aid fitting of adults and paediatric patients in accordance with best practice guidelines. This role includes the implementation and review of evidence-based protocols and procedures, regular clinical monitoring of service provision and the ongoing development of services.
    • To take on role of Team Leader of Implantable Hearing Devices, including cochlear implant and acoustic implants. Reportable to the Assistant Director of Speech Therapy and Audiology. Team leader role includes budgeting and demand plan generation. Excellent teamwork and conflict management skills. To work within a multidisciplinary team within professional boundaries.
    • To supervise, develop, train and monitor the performance of team members in all aspects of service delivery whilst adhering to Batho Pele Principles, National Core Standards, Quality Assurance and other Public Service Policies and Acts. Participate in conflict management and implement corrective measures and all governing departmental policies. Must be a team player within the department and institution. Adhere to and ensure compliance with HPCSA Legislation.
    • Attend meetings and training as approved by manager. Management of personnel performance and review thereof. (Contracting, quarterly review and final assessment)
