    Curriculum Specialist (Applied Psychology)

    This role is situated in SACAP’s Head Office, but the candidate can be physically located in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria or Durban.  

    The candidate will be required to perform various functions that would include: 

    • Collaborate with educators, industry experts, and educational leaders to develop, evaluate, and revise curricula within the Applied Psychology Faculty.  
    • Ensure SACAP's programmes and modules remain cutting-edge, research-informed, and aligned with industry needs.  
    • Seamlessly integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and applications into the Applied Psychology curriculum.  
    • Formulate and implement institutional strategies for curriculum development and assessment design.  
    • Foster collaboration between the institutional Academic Programme Development Team.  
    • Work closely with the Head Librarian and Senior Academic Programme Developers to shape SACAP's institutional resource and copyright strategy, including curriculum-related monitoring.  

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • A minimum of a master's degree in psychology with a strong interest in Educational Technology and AI.
    • Demonstrate experience in curriculum and assessment development in higher education.
    • Experience in learning design would be an advantage. 
    • Excellent communication and people management skills.
    • Experience in academic setting with a demonstrated passion for innovative education.

    Head of Learning and Teaching_Onl Campus

    The South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) is the leading independent provider of education in psychology, counselling and coaching, offering accredited undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. 

    SACAP is looking for a Head of Learning and Teaching (HOLT) for the Online Campus. The Head of Learning and Teaching is responsible for the learning and teaching strategy on the Online Campus and is responsible for the recruitment, management and development of all educators teaching on the Online Campus.

    The candidate will be required to perform various functions that would include:

    • Strategic leadership of teaching and learning online at SACAP.
    • Recruitment and care of educators across the online campus.
    • Monitor and manage all aspects of learning and teaching for the online campus.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum of a master’s degree in education, Training and Development, Learning Design, Online Education, Educational Technology, or related field.

    Mid-Weight Graphic Designer

    Responsibilities:

    The candidate will be required to perform various functions that would include:

    • Use the existing SACAP brand identity to create engaging marketing material
    • Design and development of marketing collateral across all relevant channels
    • Participation in team brainstorming sessions
    • Collaborating with marketing team to determine appropriate communication format, visuals and design elements of projects
    • Developing designs and multimedia pieces for websites, presentations, events and exhibits
    • Use imagery, typography, video, sound and computer-based interactive elements to communicate brand messages across various platforms
    • Preparing designs and creative deliverables within agreed upon deadlines and budgets
    • Submit designs for final approval and distribution
    • Update HTML mailer templates

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design/ Art Direction, Multimedia design, or similar
    • Minimum of 3 years working as an Art Director/ Graphic Designer
    • A strong digital portfolio of relevant work to showcase your talent
    • Proficient in industry leading software and technologies: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,
    • Premier Pro, After Effects, et cetera
    • Strong graphic design capabilities

    Programme Accreditations Coordinator

    The Programme Accreditation Coordinator works in close partnership with the office of the Academic Dean, subject matter and industry experts, and collaboratively with other institutional departments. The Programme Accreditation Coordinator will be responsible for the following areas:

    New Programme Feasibility/Exploratory Research

    • Conducts research on the feasibility and viability of new programme applications.
    • Communicates with key stakeholders to verify that all projects and tasks are on schedule and are completed within the set timeframes.
    • Prepares and presents proposal documents that demonstrate the feasibility of new programmes, recommendations and future opportunities.
    • Forms good working relationships with various key stakeholders throughout the organisation.

    New Programme Accreditation

    Overall administration and coordination of new programme accreditation projects including the initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and closing of new programme accreditation projects across various disciplines. 

    • Oversight of new programme design, development, and application processes until qualifications are accredited (CHE) and registered (SAQA and DHET). This includes professional bodies where relevant.
    • Creating a comprehensive project plan for new programme applications across disciplines. 
    • Creating and monitoring the project schedule, prioritizing and sequencing time frames associated with changing elements of new programme application projects. 
    • Administration of the work of the subject matter/industry experts, as well as providing guidance on regulatory requirements regarding curricula in the design and development phase of new programme accreditation. 
    • Writing the programme applications and ensuring they are ready for submission

    Programme Collation and Submission 

    Administering the CHE/HEQF programme application: 

    • Stays abreast of all aspects of the regulatory submission processes.
    • Provides guidance and assists in preparing programme designs and modules for programme applications based on subject expertise.
    • Generates, reviews and collates up-to-date documents timeously and with precision as supporting evidence in an application in preparation for upload.  
    • Editing and proofing documents developed by subject matter/industry experts, and programme designers. 
    • Identifies where the gaps in information are, highlights and resolves these. 
    • Prepares all folders for new programme applications.
    • Drafts and administrates regulatory communication as needed.

    General:

    • Report generation; Presentations; Conduct desk research and potentially market research; Attend workshops, conferences etc.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of a Master’s degree
    • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Higher Education with experience in new programme application development and submission a requirement.
    • Depth and breadth of experience in regulatory management, quality assurance, learning design and curriculum development advantageous.
    • Furthermore, experience in online/distance higher education is an added advantage.
