Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our production team in Alberton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing fabricated items, assembling, and maintaining related equipment, and ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and Assembly: Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and repair components.
• Welding and Cutting: Perform welding and cutting tasks using various methods and ensure structural integrity.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Identify and address any issues or defects.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials and tools.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.

Qualifications:

• Education: Certification in Boilermaking or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Boilermaker in a production environment, with a strong understanding of boilermaking and equipment.

Skills:

• Proficiency in welding techniques and the use of welding equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various environmental conditions, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
