Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure correct dry goods are issued to production
• Assist with goods receipts and pickings
• Perform physical and system bin maintenance
• Conduct stock reconciliations, investigations and declarations
• Ensure returnable dry goods are received and stacked accordingly
• Actively participate during stock take and cycle counts
• Maintain stock rotation in the warehouse using appropriate systems
• Manage WIP, Quality and Block stock
• Ensure application of Good Warehouse Practices including Standard Operating procedures
• Ensure all related administration processes are recorded and filed correctly
• Adhere to all safety practices and 5S procedures
• Maintain customer, supplier and production service level agreements
• Perform stand-in duties when required
• Actively participate in mini-business activities.
   

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• Matric/Grade 12  and Warehouse / Logistics / Supply Chain qualification or related field
• 2-3 Storeman experience in a Warehouse / Logistics / Production environment (FMCG would be an advantage)
• Good computer literacy in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SAP
• Proven good written and verbal communication skills
• Good business acumen in building on customer performance
• Strong administrative skills
• Strong self-management skills, and able to work within a team
• High levels of concentration and very meticulous
• Ability to conduct investigations through structured problem-solving methodologies
• Ability to multi-task (perform different tasks at one time)
• Must be able to identify opportunities for improvement - creative and innovative
• Willing and able to work shifts and overtime as and when required

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Change parts control;
• The daily receipt; storage and issuing of all change parts which entails:
  • Check the quality and maintenance of parts returned to change parts store;
  • Do the maintenance checks and adjustments of parts;
  • Lubrication of parts; 
  • Issuing and receiving of parts to and from customers.
• Related administration, which broadly entails:
  • Completing documents required for the issue/receipt of parts to the lines;
  • Keep inventory updated.
• Maintenance of housekeeping and safety standards
• Assist with stock takes as and /or when required
• Assist the Maintenance Team with ad hoc as and/or when required.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification
• Must have a clear technical understanding of how work must be executed
• Work experience within and engineering environment will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of all workshop/engineering tools, machines and change parts will be advantageous.
• Be a good team player;
• Energetic and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position.
• Be customer focused.

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• Matric/Grade 12  
•  2-3 years’ experience in a Warehouse / Logistics / Production environment (FMCG would be an advantage)
•  Valid Forklift Licence
• Proven good verbal communication skills
• Strong administrative skills 
• Strong self-management skills, and able to work within a team
• High levels of concentration and very meticulous
• Ability to multi-task (perform different tasks at one time)
• Must be able to identify opportunities for improvement - creative and innovative
• Willing and able to work shifts and overtime as and when required
