Establish and oversee budgets, plans, policies, and programs that will effectively implement the business strategies and objectives set by the Board, and parent company.
Liaise with other business units and country heads across the whole organization to ensure that the strategies and activities of the company’s business units are integrated with other parts of the business and are aligned with the overall corporate objectives. Liaise with local managers of the business lines to ensure the highest growth and profitability (Ebitda) in line with regional objectives. Assist leading the regional management team to deliver results as per objectives set up by business line managers.
Ensure the compliance with the company’s principles, policies and local laws.
Set, and monitor the performance of the business unit against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, and human resource management.
Monitor competitive environment of the business unit to identify threats and opportunities and develop business plans to address them.
Act as country representative and official spokesman to Government, relevant stake holders and trade associations in the country of operations and represent the company’s interest maintaining good relationships with such.
Act as legal representative. Liaise/follow up with local legal counsels on legal cases against/for the company in the country.
Maximize storage business line in the country.

Ensures HRIS accommodates the regional requirements for employee record maintenance so that information is accurate and secure. Data managed includes personal information; job history; retirement and insurance documentation; leave accrual records; and details of illness, absences, transfers, and salary progression; employment compliance documentation.
Responsible for delivery of regional KPI’s for HR and payroll. KPI’s to be used to target continuous improvement and are to be reported to Global HR Manager on a monthly basis.
Ensure internal auditing findings are closed out and Regional audit requirements tabled for deployment with Global HR Operations Manager and Internal Audit.
Liaise with HRIS team in matters of system improvement and issue resolution.
Measuring LMS utilization against Functional training matrix (FTMR). Liaise with MyLearning team to ensure proper function of the LMS for the regional (ensuring correct content delivery) and employees have access to their required training.
Drive systems user adoption through effective communication and training initiatives. Facilitate regional involvement in Systems and HR process changes from; change management, UAT and Training.
HR Process management and compliance
Responsible for HR operations excellence for the region. Manage end to end HR / employee life cycle process.
Enhance and optimize processes for efficient and cost effective way of delivery of HR services in tandem with HR shared services.
Advice Policy custodians on practicality of policy from process perspective. Ensure access to up to date policy and procedure.
Periodical review of process ensuring compliance with Global and region requirement, and aligned with global workflow.
Documentation and distribution of SOP’s and ensuring all HR are effectively trained.
Payroll Management
As a custodian of global payroll solution. Ensuring payroll is managed per group guidelines with prescribed and approved processes, with proper DOA’s, documentation and control in place, and a good check and balance to ensure payroll is properly accounted for with reliability, accuracy and timely payment.
Representative for the region on Global payroll vendor management enforcing KPI’s with HRSS, Local HR and the vendor.
Payroll invoicing to be verified on a monthly basis with regards to, Opex Costs, Change Requests, Starters and Leavers, Off Cycle runs and contract addendums.
Staff costs management
Ensuring staff costs are properly forecasted aligned with Finance HFM record.
Working with Finance department ensuring headcount and staff costs are captured per Workday record, highlight issues and manage solutions.
Manpower forecast and planning.
Lead staff costs budgeting processing for the region, from data gathering, computation, reconciliation, data provision to finance, consolidation etc.
Dash Board / Report : preparation of data / information /presentation for decision making and stakeholder engagement
Regional Office Business Partner
Go to person for Singapore office, provide transactional end to end service delivery (including payroll ) to Singapore employees via TGS
Working closely with the Regional Reward Manager and Regional T&A Manager for support on compensation , resourcing and training .
HR Dashboard
Develop HR dashboard to facilitate decision making
Enhance reporting and people analytics abilities within the region.
Sharing observation and insights and provide solution in addressing issues.
HR Operation /services delivery Lead for the region
Partnering with in country team on HR Operations improvement or enhance project.
Partnering with Global HR Operation Manager on implementation of global project, provide regional input / insight to global team ensuring global projects is delivered with intended objectives.
Working with Global HR Op on share service delivery.
Team coverage
Stand-in resource for Regional Reward manager.
Stand-in resource for regional resourcing, if needed.
