This position reports to Senior Site Merchandiser.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the Divisional Head and Department Managers to support the Retail & Marketplace strategy within each division. That means featuring key brands, key lines and facilitating clearing of stock where appropriate. Core to the role is to drive discoverability of these lines.
- Input into the promotion planning process and the creation of the Promotions Calendar by understanding the needs from their divisional stakeholders. This feedback is shared with the Promotions Operations Team.
- You are the primary contact between Retail-Marketplace and the Promotions & Merchandising team and need to make sure promotions and marketing priorities are correctly briefed and within the deadlines.
- You need to ensure optimal ranges & products are promoted - based on data from Search, Conversion, Trends, Retail strategy and Marketplace Strategy.
- Besides Promotions and Marketing Priorities, you are expected to explore new ways to provide exposure to selected products - search banners, newsletters, push notifications and landing pages for example. In these non-promotional channels, you should aim to drive traffic to full margin products that are supported by data from Search, Conversion, Customer Agenda and Business Strategy.
- Review performance of promotional activities and drive continuous improvement of sales performance and discoverability.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma (Business Science or Commerce preferable)
- At least 2 year’s related retail / commerce experience
- Skilled in MS Office packages, particularly excel
- Retail buying/e-commerce experience preferable but not an absolute requirement

his position reports to the TDT Project Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Initiating and implementing continuous improvement projects across the TDT network to improve efficiency and reduce cost;
- Operationalizing new business development initiatives within the TDT network;
- Support with developing and/or improving the health and safety plans, programmes and procedures in the TDT network;
- Auditing operational teams against approved systems;
- Coordinating changes required in the Takealot Pickup Point network in support of business expansion;
- Investigating, establishing and implementing standardized resources across the TDT network;
- Working cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to optimise total delivery lead-time and logistics cost; and
- Active Stakeholder Management by ensuring clear communication channels are maintained between all parties involved in improvement projects.
Attributes required:
- Logistics supply chain experience;
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to interpret complex operational environments, identify problem areas and project manage the implement of leading edge solutions;
- Quantitative analytical capability, with a strong grasp of management and cost accounting principles and metrics;
- Good leadership and team development skills; and
- High degree of personal motivation and resilience.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- BEng Industrial or Logistics degree
- Minimum 3 – 5 years within Logistics / Supply Chain
- Sound operational background within logistics management
- Proven track record of success in delivering projects against operational and profit targets
- Experience of managing both internal and external stakeholders
