    Accountant

    The Job

    As the Accountant, you will mainly be responsible for the operational execution of financial functions from journal entries to statutory audits, and in supporting relevant stakeholders with budgeting, reporting and compliance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Executing the procurement-to-pay process, recording accounts payable and receivables, reconciling bank payments, and processing employee expenses/ advances.
    • Supporting payroll verification and payment of salaries to the respective banks.
    • Executing all other journal entries.
    • Ensuring compliance with the accounting laws and Triggerise policies.
    • Preparing and reconciling VAT returns.
    • Preparing monthly reconciliations and month-end working papers

    About You

    You have strong knowledge of local accounting standards and statutory requirements. You are great with numbers and have an eye for detail. You are a team player who works well with people from different cultural backgrounds.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of accounting experience
    • You have excellent knowledge of financial ERP systems, such as NetSuite
    • Experience in audit, reporting & taxes
    • International experience as an accountant is a plus
    • You have excellent English skills

    Data Analyst

    The Job

    As the Data Analyst, you will use data analysis, visualization, and data modelling techniques to provide insight, identify trends to recommend action for the Insights team and assist operational departments in the successful execution of their programmes. You will also be responsible for:

    • Developing tools to analyse our data in order to identify trends, insights and risks that will support the Insights team in the day-to-day execution of their programmes.
    • Creating and maintaining data dashboards from local operations as well as other sources.
    • Turning your findings into clear reports and recommendations that will help local and global teams improve control over their processes. 

    About You

    You are someone who thinks logically and comes up with practical solutions in order to solve any issues. You have an eye for the smaller details, and ensure that tasks are followed up in a timely manner.

    Requirements

    • Degree in relevant fields (Economics, Population Studies, Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health, or any other relevant social sciences degree) 
    • 2-4 years of experience working in a similar role
    • Proficiency data analysis skills using Excel, R, STATA , SPSS,Tableau, Power BI or other data visualisation software.
    • Work experience in public health sector would be highly beneficial

    DevOps Engineer Team Lead

    The Job 

    The DevOps Team Lead is responsible for managing and leading a DevOps team. You will take on management tasks in addition to being responsible for building, testing, and maintaining the tools that allow for the speedy development and release of the software. You also build, configure and monitor the infrastructure that is needed by the software to run.

    Responsibilities:

    • You coordinate the work that the DevOps engineering team needs to do. You are actively involved in cross-team projects that involve development.
    • You make sure the infrastructure you develop is secure and safe with regards to information security & personal data.
    • You lead and develop the individuals in your team. You mentor them if needed. We also expect you to continue to develop yourself and keep abreast of new developments. 
    • You document your work and make sure that your documentation is clear and understandable for future use by others. 
    • Our team works in an agile way and you will be part of the rituals and practices. 
    • You build, configure and maintain the infrastructure needed by the Triggerise software to run. You automate the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of the infrastructure 
    • You set up, test, and maintain the infrastructure of tools that we use to support our software development and launch. You are responsible for optimizing the flow of work from build to release. 

    About you

    You already have experience in a similar position and are excited by the opportunity to utilize your skillset and build a product from the ground up.

    Requirements:

    • You hold a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a DevOps role
    • 1+ years of experience managing a team of DevOps Engineers
    • Previous experience with Kubernetes container orchestration (preference for using K8s within AWS ecosystem)
    • You have previous experience working with Cloud tools (preference for using AWS, including RDS, EC2, SQS)
    • Below are some of the technologies we use at Triggerise: Terraform, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Github Actions (experience in these technologies will be an advantage)

    Java Backend Engineer

    The Job

    You will form an integral part of our Agile tech team who is responsible for creating and maintaining the software that allows our platform to function. You’ll also be responsible for:

    • You maintain and develop new features on our software platform. You apply the principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of our software.

    About you

    Requirements:  

    • You are based in Portugal/Kenya/South Africa.
    • You hold a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a software development role.
    • You have worked extensively with several Java backend tools and frameworks.
    • You don’t want to just write code, you want to make it with quality and scalable.
    • Experience within Microservices, and AWS will be an advantage. 
    • You are willing to learn. We use SpringBoot, JUnit, Testcontainers, Flyway, among others (You aren't required to have experience with the specific tools we are currently using, we can help you).
