    Financial Advisor

    Key Purpose of the role

    • The role involves policy and benefit reviews to identify client needs. The Financial Advisor will ensure that clients are always aware of product enhancements that may benefit their existing or new need. The Financial Advisor will always conduct financial needs analysis and or assess risk appetite before recommending changes to their existing product structure and or fund portfolios.

    • We are looking for a suitably experienced Financial Advisor to become part of our vibrant and dynamic sales team. This individual will consult with existing Discovery Life, Invest and Insure clients to offer them specialist advice on their current products, benefits and or fund selection. This role drives ongoing servicing of existing clients and as such is remunerated on a non-commissionable basis.

    Key Responsibilities

    Your tasks will typically involve:

    • conducting in-depth reviews of clients' financial goals, from risk protection to wealth creation
    • conducting a financial needs analysis and preparing proposals best suited to meet individual clients' requirements
    • providing clients with information on new and existing products, benefits and services
    • designing financial strategies

    Project Manager (Intermediate) - Health Systems

    Key Purpose  

    • The purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact strategic projects by planning effectively, coordinating across teams, and managing resources to meet agreed goals. The role ensures that project outcomes support Discovery’s strategic priorities, while staying within scope, budget, and timelines. It involves working with multiple stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring clear governance and reporting. By fostering collaboration across diverse teams, promoting accountability, and embedding structured, scalable delivery methodologies, this role plays a key part in delivering measurable value, supporting business objectives, and enabling sustainable organisational growth and transformation.

    Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to: 

    Project Delivery

    • Lead and coordinate project kick-off meetings with key stakeholders to establish scope, objectives, and delivery approach.
    • Collaborate with development managers, business analysts and technical teams to gather necessary input for initiation and planning documents.
    • Plan, manage, and oversee the execution of project tasks with Systems and Business, ensuring alignment with timelines, objectives, and resource availability.
    • Facilitate traditional project meetings or Agile ceremonies to ensure progress and alignment across the project workstreams.
    • Oversee progress, address obstacles proactively, and adapt plans to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.

    • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, escalating where necessary for timely resolution.

    • Support the development of portfolio-level reports that align with strategic priorities and drive informed decision-making.

    Governance and Compliance

    • In-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is REQUIRED.

    Energy Executive

    About the role

    • Discovery Green is looking for a Energy Executive responsible for the growth of the leads and origination pipeline for Discovery Green.  This role will be responsible for accessing C-suite executives in South African businesses across industries and introducing them to the Discovery Green offering as the first step in the new business process. This role will also be responsible for the sales pitch, quoting and contracting of specific clients for Discovery Green’s long term products (Green Saver, Green Guarantee and Green Flex). This role reports to the Head of New Business.

    • Demonstrate expertise with respect to the Discovery Green offering and the energy market in South Africa
    • Secure introduction meetings with C-suite executives at potential customers by:

    • Develop detailed market intelligence reports on potential customers, including profiles of C-suite executives, renewable energy strategy, customer entry point, value of the opportunity, and stage in buying process
    • Responsible for the B2B sales cycle with clients for Discovery Green’s long term products (Green Saver, Green Guarantee and Green Flex) from origination to contract closing, with support from the New Business back office team

    Healthy Company Care Coach

    Key Purpose

    • The successful incumbent will operate within the Healthy Company operational area and will be responsible for the management and care of all dimensions of employee wellbeing including counselling, advice, coaching and onward referrals to psychologists, financial coaches and legal experts if required.     Purpose

    • The Individual Life Advanced Analytics function is responsible for innovative, strategic and impactful projects for the business. The focus of the team is to support development and implementation of data science projects and involves exposure to a wide range of business areas such as underwriting, claims, legal and other operations, as well as the wider Discovery Group.
