    Registered Nurse Trauma Trained

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies and will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.

    Locum Occupational Therapist - Acute Rehabilitation Centre

    Main Focus Areas

    • The occupational therapist will provide holistic occupational therapy to in-patients requiring occupational therapy in the rehabilitation unit. Occupational Therapists will provide an assessment of the patient’s level of independence in self-care and need for a wheelchair on admission in the rehabilitation unit.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention to in-patients who require occupational therapy including on some weekends and public holidays.

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Physiotherapist will provide holistic physiotherapy to in-patients requiring physiotherapy in the rehabilitation unit. The physiotherapists will provide an assessment of the patient’s level of independence in mobility and need for an assistive device required for mobility on admission in the rehabilitation unit.

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / her unit.     Main Focus Areas

    • The Case Manager utilising clinical knowledge and expertise, mitigates financial risk through comprehensive and accurate coding of hospital events, communication with funders on justification for hospitalisation level of care and length of stay.

    • Responsible for application of clinical knowledge in justifying patient hospitalisation in terms of treatment, length of stay and level of care.

    RHHC Ward Administrator (CCU & High Care)

    Main Focus Areas

    • The incumbent will be responsible for the co-ordination of all secretarial work in the ward and responsible for receiving all new patients, visitors, and doctor’s in the ward as well as to make them feel welcome.     CSSD Assistant

    Main Focus Areas

    • The CSSD assistant’s role is to assist the multi-disciplinary theatre team to provide exemplary care in the CSSD by cleaning, sterilizing and packing theatre instruments

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Fold and Pack linen in the correct manner for sterilization
    • Wash and care for instruments according to the correct procedure
    • Pack instrument sets and loose articles in the prescribed manner for sterilization
    • Ensure that all required instruments for procedures are sterile and ready for utilization
    • Checking functioning of sterilizing and decontamination equipment according to manufactures instructions
    • Prepare self, equipment and materials safely for the tasks to be undertaken. Undertake tasks as delegated and taught for that specific case working within level of competence.
    • Monitor repairs of instruments
    • Flexible working hours
    • Work in line with the CFSA guidelines and policies.

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
