    Solution Area Specialists: Internship Opportunities

    • As a Solution Area Specialist Intern, you will uncover and qualify new leads while driving consumption with both new and existing customers. You will identify customer and market needs, orchestrate deals with multiple stakeholders, and position Microsoft solutions effectively in the competitive landscape.     Strategic Account Technology: Internship Opportunities

    • As a Strategic Account Technology Intern you will provide technology guidance to clients and orchestrate the interaction between clients and Microsoft resources to drive new opportunities, demand generation, Microsoft’s market share, digital transformation,and the mapping of industry/business scenarios to Microsoft solutions. Under supervison, you will be the Technology Mentor for the customer or "go-to" person in established, long-term relationships with technical and/or business decision-makers at the Chief X Officer (CxO) level. You will lead customer partnerships and drives conversations with clients to present the strategic value of Microsoft solutionsand be a trusted technology advisor both internally and externally to integrate Microsoft technology in the customer’s business.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field 
    • Must have at least one quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of the internship

    Responsibilities

    • Synthesize and combine various business and industry insights from their team, global best practices, proof points from experience/case studies with countries and/or regions, and deep industry expertise related to customers and their competitors to conduct forecasting and develop recommendations for managing accounts and subsidiary planning.  
    • Ensure that all levels of the organization provide alternate perspectives to enable customers to consider alternatives and adapt strategies, plans, business models and solutions to insights.  
    • Orchestrate global teams to gather information, collaborate on performance markers and identify potential risks in customer accounts and brings in business and industry insights to address the broader business challenges for the customer and deliver solutions. 
    • Leverage account information technology (IT), industry, and business strategy to provide coaching to internal Microsoft teams on customer technology profiles and strategies and provide technical guidance to internal teams to position technology while using customer landscape knowledge. 
    • Provide analysis of overall customer situation and advise internal teams on gaps that would benefit from Microsoft solutions, using a growing understanding of the business strategies and outcomes that technology can support, while relying on the expertise of others.  
    • Gain expertise as a strategic link between Microsoft and the customer for identifying a pathway in strategic efforts and drive conversations with enterprise customers that present the strategic relationship between Microsoft technologies, products and services compared with the competitor's solution and the customer's overall business goals and objectives.
