    Economic Development / Black Economic Empowerment (BEE)

    You will be responsible for managing the Economic Development Plans, BEE Evaluation and Sub- Contracts Evaluation for the business.

    Social Economic Development Plan Management:

    • Prepare Economic Development plan for Wind Projects Bidding under the IPP program of South Africa.
    • Collect the ED Job Creations and local content points, and work to combine them into the EPC ED Plan.
    • Develop the ED plan with the EPC team, and partner resources.
    • Cooperate with IPP's to report to Government officers for ED Commitment for construction and operation projects.
    • Develop the skill transfer and technical training program for the company, and claim from DTI for certificates and refunds.

    BEE Management:

    • Update and maintain company registration documents as required for BEE law
    • Update BEE certificate and maintain the legal qualification of the company according to BEE law
    • Finalise BEE proposals and score card for wind projects biddings.
    • Develop the BEE structure, labour structure, management structure and community contribution to achieve higher scores based on new BEE law.
    • Organise the training and Social Economic Development plan for the company to work together with the local community.
    • Coordinates new employee orientation including introduction, company organisation, HR policies etc

    Skills / Knowledge:

    • English Speaking
    • 2+ years experience
    • Familiar with SA law
    • Familiar with BEE requirement and law in SA.

    Business Development Manager - Solar

    You will play a key role in establishing and leading a small team to be based in Johannesburg, SA overseeing projects for the EMEA region.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Scout new markets, identify and develop new business opportunities, propose and execute market entry modes
    • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and engage with market participants
    • Negotiate and close business deals
    • Maintains extensive and up to date knowledge of market conditions
    • Build key customer relationships
    • Attend relevant industry events
    • Report to Group's Senior Management


    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a technical degree


    • Technical knowledge of solar and the energy markets
    • Up to date knowledge of latest technologies and industry standards
    • Experience in solar EPC sector
    • Ability to manage the entire project development process
    • Strong understanding of commercial activities
    • First-hand experience of business development and growing a team
    • Excellent communication, presentation & networking skills
    • Self-starter and Results-oriented
