    Messaging and Productivity Engineer

    Purpose of the role:

    • The Messaging (Exchange) and Productivity Engineer role is to manage the Hybrid Exchange environment and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported.
    • This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure Exchange provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
    • At least 3-5 years’ experience in Modern/Cloud Platforms.
    • Azure/M365 Certification desirable.
    • ITIL V3 Certification.
    • COBIT 5 Certifications.
    • Microsoft Exchange Online /Hybrid.
    • Microsoft Teams Platform.
    • Virtualisation (VMware and Hyper-V).
    • Cloud networking technologies, particularly in M365 and Azure.
    • Internal operating system technology, Azure cloud and computer operations.
    • Architecting and designing technical solutions for Cloud-centric solutions based on industry standards using AWS/Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS capabilities.
    • Client Server/Windows servers and multi-platform client network management.
    • Cloud network resources, solutions, industry best practices, and standard ports and protocols.
    • Deploy and configure complex M365 cloud resources.
    • Troubleshoot and isolate network and access failures.
    • Use performance monitoring solutions and interpret results.

    Duties:

    • Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for Exchange-based messaging and collaboration solutions in conjunction with endusers and department managers.
    • Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement Exchange systems that utilise industry best practices to meet enterprise objectives.
    • Install, configure and initiate Microsoft Exchange servers, software and any required equipment.
    • Perform all tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements regarding Exchange-based messaging and collaboration availability and security; including those involving user accounts, shared folders/calendars, mailing lists, and Outlook Web Access.
    • Implement policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure Exchange server security through secure access, monitoring, control, and routine security evaluations.
    • Manage Exchange database(s), antivirus applications, messaging filtering, and error log tracking.
    • Recommend, schedule, and perform software patches, upgrades, and/or purchases.
    • Ensure that Exchange server implementations comply with policies, standards, licensing agreements, and configuration guidelines.
    • Remain informed on laws, trends, and issues, including current and emerging technologies and best practices related to Exchange and e-messaging.
    • Perform message archiving, retrieval, and deletion according to best-practices for maintaining regulatory compliance.
    • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve problems affecting messaging systems performance, efficiency, and availability.
    • Provide on-call technical support for end users.
    • Support application development teams and software migrations to new e-mail server platforms or newer versions of Exchange.
    • Monitor, test, and analyze e-mail system and server software activities to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and availability.
    • Assess need for any messaging system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required.
    • Create required reports in response to business needs.

    Research Analyst (Resources)- Readvertisement

    Purpose of the role:

    • To carry out in-house equity research, supply Head of Equities and Portfolio Manager: Resources with equity investment recommendations to enable PIC to meet its investment targets. To also assist with the forecast of key commodities as well as maintenance of the house view in as far as it relates to the Resources sector for the PIC.

    Requirements:
    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • B Degree in Commerce, Finance or Science
    • At least 3- 5 years’ experience in financial markets
    • FAIS RE 5 or must be obtained within 6 months of employment

    Preferred Qualifications and experience:

    • A Postgraduate degree in Science, Commerce and Finance, MBA, CFA or CA
    • B.Sc (Eng) and B.Sc (Geology) or similar
    • Work experience in mining/oil and gas sector
    • Minimum Technical/Core Skill Requirement
    • Understanding of the resources sector (Commodities, cost drivers and changing macro impact)
    • Investment banking, private equity or equity research experience
    • Maintain, develop, and update fundamental equity models

    Duties:

    • Highlighting key macro-economic events to the team
    • Formulation of house commodity view, together with the Resources team
    • Stock recommendation with detailed investment thesis
    • Detailed presentation of these recommendations to both the sector-head as well as the
    • Internal Listed Equities team
    • Complete and customise valuation models
    • Awareness of portfolio and stock exposures
    • Timely maintenance of valuation models to factor for new market information
    • Provision of investment thesis, valuations, industry and company information
    • Provision of timely commentary – dissemination of real time news-flow

    Assistant Portfolio Manager (Global)- Multi-Management Public Markets

    Purpose of the role:

    • To assist in the manager selection and portfolio construction processes in the allocated asset class (es) and providing a high level of support in the monitoring of external managers.

    Requirements:
    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • B Com (Hons) or BSc (Hons) degree in Financial Management
    • At least 10 years post qualification experience in investments and economic knowledge
    • At least 5 years of Multi-manager Funds experience
    • At least 5 years’ experience in the investment industry
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Global Strategies

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Masters, CFA or CA (SA)
    • FAIS representative preferred

    Minimum Technical/Core Skill Requirement

    • Investment & Economic knowledge
    • Experience with investment and financial analysis
    • Excellent quantitative skills (including excel and other risk tools)
    • Experience with a risk/optimisation model, e.g. MSCI Barra/Bloomberg
    • Ability to interpret and make recommendations on research and analysis
    • Extensive knowledge of financial markets/instruments/regulations, economic theories and relationships, valuation tools.
    • Thorough understanding of investment managers’ investment disciplines and their expected portfolio characteristics and investment activities

    Duties:

    • Assist in overseeing investment portfolios for clients or organizations
    • Monitor developments in the financial markets to maintain an understanding of current and anticipated trends and how they may affect client portfolios.
    • Remain informed, and keep the team informed, about current market developments and impact on external manager portfolios.
    • Monitor and analyse existing managers’ w.r.t qualitative and quantitative factors
    • Produce Risk and Return analysis of existing managers and peer groups
    • Produce reports for clients and internal committees, i.e. Portfolio Management Committee and Investment Committee
    • Quantitative analysis of managers relative to stated benchmarks and peer groups
    • Researching and evaluating investment strategies, ideas and concepts
