    Communications & Graphic Design Intern

    As Graphic Design Intern you will be responsible for:

    • Designing and developing graphic design projects for print, digital or other media internally and externally.
    • Brand protection and ownership: adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline.

    Your Challenge:

    • Collaborating with the Communications team to design visually compelling assets for both digital and print platforms, including social media graphics, infographics, posters, and other communications collateral.
    • Ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, contributing to the maintenance and evolution of our brand identity within the Communications Department.
    • Support the creation of multimedia content, including videos, and interactive graphics, to enhance our online presence and engagement.
    • Contributing creative ideas to cross-functional teams for seamless integration of design elements into various communication channels.
    • Utilizing design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), to craft high-quality graphics and visual content.

    Qualifications

    Intern – Marketing, Greytown

    Your Challenge:

    • Campaign support: aid in the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns, in close collaboration with the Marketing team, includes content creation.
    • Assistance in Events: participate in or assist in organizing agricultural events and trade shows.
    • Digital Marketing support: contribute to digital marketing efforts, e.g., email marketing, social media management. Assist in monitoring engagement and analyzing metrics.
    • Market research: conduct research on the agricultural industry, e.g., market trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences. Gather insights into farmers’ needs, challenges, and preferences in different regions.
    • Digital Marketing Platforms: collaborate with digital marketing platforms (including social media platforms, Salesforce, website, apps, etc.) to execute online marketing strategies.
    • Administrative support: providing general administrative support to the marketing team, including scheduling meetings, aiding in the payment process (request purchase orders, process payments, etc.), and assisting with routine tasks to ensure smooth operations.

    Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

    • Marketing team (Marketing Manager and Marketing and Communications Specialist): collaborate closely with the marketing team on all marketing activities throughout the year.
    • Marketing agencies: work together with all agencies on campaign planning, content creating, strategy implementation, promotional campaigns and events planning.
    • Sales team: interact with the Area Managers to understand customer feedback, market demands and sales strategies.
    • Cross-functional teams: collaborate with teams such as finance and operations to ensure marketing strategies align with the broader company objectives

    Qualifications

    • Valid South African driver’s license

    Intern-Seed Quality Testing-Rosslyn

    As seed quality testing specialist you will be responsible for:

    • Laboratory Activities: Conduct lab activities in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, policies, regulations and customer specifications, plans and work instructions, ISO and any other protocols or steps for conducting tests governing lab testing. Assist in internal and external audits. Assure testing protocols are applied.
    • Testing Data: Maintains necessary documentation and quality records to provide evidence that standards, plans and procedures are being followed. Enters daily testing information into system in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Communication: Communicates non-standard test results relating to quality, testing, equipment to supervisor, coordinator or manager. Maintains reference samples and standards used in testing.
    • Technical Assistance: Supervises or assist coordinator to supervise activities related to specific area of testing, sample preparation, conducting tests and data input. Works with logistics in coordinating receiving of samples and preparing them for testing.
    • General: Ability to fulfill general employment expectations including regular attendance and working specified hours or overtime as defined by supervisor, acceptance of supervision, getting along with other in the workplace, maintaining acceptable standards of office conduct.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalen
    • Technical diploma/degree preferred.
    • Ideal – Seed Science Course ( Seed Physiology)
    • Ideal – Practical Course with DARLD ( Agronomic crops and grasses

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Computer proficiency ·
    • Strong communication skills in teaching techniques, evaluating results, arranging and following up on schedules across a broad variety of internal audiences.
    • Accreditations specific to testing area(s) preferred.
    • Ability to lift up to ( ˭ 27 Kilograms) ·
    • Ability to operate specialized laboratory equipment
    • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods
    • Ability to work in an environment containing mould, dust and treatment fumes
    • Ability to supervise testing conducted by others
    • Willingness to assist and train less experienced assistance on targeted testing or other skills
    • Ability to understand and follow standard company testing rules and procedures and to learn and accept new and additional skills or work assignment.
    • Ability to cooperate with other in testing and operations functions.

    Intern-Regulatory, Centurion

    Your Challenge:

    • Responsible for managing the data input for crop protection products into the regulatory database RaCE and Netdocuments.
    • Provide administrative and regulatory support to Country Regulatory Manager’s and artwork coordinator on a need basis. Proof reading of labels.
    • Creation of purchase order for external contractors and coordination of contractor invoicing.
    • Invoicing of regulatory fees to the authorities.
    • Support the update of commercial brochures with regulatory information.

    Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

    • Local colleagues within Crop Protection Product Development field teams, Regulatory and Stewardship
    • Global RaCE and Netdocuments support teams
    • Accounts and purchasing departments

    Qualifications

    To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

    • A diploma or degree in Admin/office management
    • Interest for databases, crop agronomy, and crop protection regulatory process, but training will be provided.
    • Team player with good communication skills with ability to interface well with wide variety of people. Positive attitude, with an open-minded approach to learning. Good attention to detail.
    • Good computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite
    • Good knowledge of written and spoken English/Afrikaans
