    Maintenance Store Manager & Buyer

    Maintenance

    Job Purpose:

    • To manage and maintain the maintenance store, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely issuance of parts and tools, and efficient support to the maintenance team.

    Your Challenge:

    • Receive, store, and issue maintenance materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock levels and transactions.
    • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of items.
    • Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering of critical spares.
    • Assist in sourcing and procurement of maintenance supplies.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and follow up on deliveries.
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store area.
    • Support maintenance technicians with required parts and tools.
    • Update and manage inventory systems (manual or digital).

    To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
    Qualifications & experiences:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a storekeeping or inventory role, preferably in a maintenance or technical environment.
    • Familiarity with maintenance parts, tools, and equipment.
    • Experience with inventory management systems is an advantage.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Basic computer literacy (Excel, inventory software).
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Work Environment:

    • Based in a maintenance workshop/store.
    • May involve physical lifting and handling of equipment.
    • Occasional interaction with suppliers and external service providers.

    HR Consultant

    • The HR Consultant plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations of a key production site. This role partners closely with site leadership and employees to ensure consistent application of HR policies, resolve employee concerns, advise on personnel processes and maintain accurate personnel data. The HR Consultant is a trusted advisor on HR matters, contributing to a positive work environment and operational excellence. The HR Consultant also supports a high-performance culture through proactive employee relations, data-driven insights, and continuous improvement of HR practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    Employee Relations & Support

    • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
    • Investigate and resolve employee service issues and workplace conflicts, escalating complex cases as needed.
    • Support employee engagement initiatives acts as a mediator between employees and management to foster a positive work environment.
    • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management, performance improvement, disciplinary actions, and employee engagement.

    Policy Implementation & Compliance

    • Interpret, support, implement and apply HR policies, procedures, and labour regulations consistently across all business groups.
    • Advise supervisors and managers on HR practices, disciplinary actions, and performance management and compliance with employment laws and regulations, providing facilitation and support as required.
    • Ensure compliance to health, safety and all statutory requirements and standards, including support of related interventions, audits and engagements.
    • Contribute to the development and revision of HR policies to reflect evolving business needs.

    HR Operations & Administration

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems, working closely with local stakeholders and our HR Service Centre.
    • Provides accurate and on-time payroll inputs to our Payroll teams.
    • Support onboarding, offboarding, and internal mobility processes.
    • Prepare HR reports and dashboards to support site leadership decision-making.

    HR Data Management & Reporting

    • Generate and analyse HR reports to identify trends and support decision-making, communicating such to HR leadership
    • Use data insights to recommend improvements in HR processes and employee experience.

    Talent & Workforce Support

    • Assist in recruitment activities including offer preparation, employee engagement, interviews and cull onboarding in coordination with Talent Acquisition.
    • Support training and development initiatives needs.
    • Monitor attendance, leave, and timekeeping systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Support performance review cycles and career development planning.

    Site Leadership Partnership

    • Collaborate with leadership to understand workforce needs and challenges.
    • Provide HR insights to support operational planning and workforce optimization.
    • Participate in site meetings and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
    • 5-7 years of HR experience, preferably in a multinational commercial, manufacturing or R&D environment.
    • Strong understanding of South African labour laws, HR best practice, and employee relations.
    • Experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
    • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skillset.
    • Proven ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

    Your Challenge:

    • Provides leadership to business unit management team in establishing, developing and executing strategic plans, business targets and operational plans and budgets.

    • People leadership & team development, including fostering enthusiasm, driving diversity, owning succession plans and motivation among employees using company's philosophies, policies and development programs.
    • Promote a culture of safety, ethics, compliance and continuous improvements. Protects our company assets including physical, financial, germplasm, trademarks, technologies, intangibles and our people.
    • Represent Pannar business and foster strong and collaborative industry, government and crop associations relationships to support positive business environment
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic business partners, distributors, co-ops and key customers
    • Contribute to and be active member of the Corteva South African Seeds Leadership team

    Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

    • Building relationships with internal cross functional teams and external customers (farmers), industry, crop associations & co-ops
    • Pro-actively communicate and liaise with third parties in the agricultural industry

    To Grow What Matters You Will Need

    • Minimum bachelor's degree in business or related agricultural field
    • Ten years’ commercial experience, business planning and executing strategies.
    • Experience in customer relationship management.
    • Experience managing and directing a sales, marketing and agronomy team.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong financial acumen, budgeting
    • Team leader with ability to develop talent
    • Innovative, solution driven mindset
