What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

• Matric.
• Drivers License, PDP, Sexual offenders clearance and no criminal record.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Bus / Driver Management

• Transportation needs of school and sees that the day-to-day operations are effective and productive.
• Manages the daily routes of the buses as well as the 8 bus drivers.
• Resolve all challenges arises in the transport department.
• Handle different aspects of bus maintenance issues and emergencies.
• Perform road checks during inclement weather and oversee the timely maintenance checks of all the buses.
• Set the routes for the buses, dispatch of the buses, work out their schedule, and managing the drivers.
• Manage other transport requests by transport representatives from the school.
• Manage fuel consumption of the buses.
• Development of the bus timetable.
• Manage the conduct and behaviour of the bus drivers and attendants.
• Implement and maintain safety standards in compliance with regulations and insurance requirements.
• Responsible for all related health and safety compliance including conducting regular mock evacuation and emergency drills.

Parent and staff liaison

• Liaises with parents regarding all bus related queries.
• Facilitates staff meetings and provide direction to the bus /bus maintenance staff.
• Keep staff and the parents informed of any route change, schedule change or timing change of the bus trip.

Billing

• Submits the billing to account.
• Manage all related expenditures and properly record allocate and accounted for it.

Administration

• Ensures that all administration around the buses and drivers is up to date (license discs, services, PDPs, permits etc).
• Maintain complete records of all the maintenance that have taken place on every bus.
• Prepare and submit accurate and up-to-date transport-related reports in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with all the transport staff and the relevant authorities to keep the bus fleet and transport staff legally compliant.

Ad-hoc deliveries and collections

• Liaises with PAs regarding school deliveries and collections that happen within the school day.

• Qualification in computer science, engineering or relevant field.

The responsibilities are:

• Install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality.
• ‘Train’ users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.
• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).
• Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality.
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
• Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimise performance.
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
• Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
