Description

• Preparation of test kits for Ecowize’s chemical range.
• Satellites on site: testing and confirming dilution concentrations for routine detergents and sanitizers.
• Conductivity meter: Issuing new, recording on issue card, scheduling maintenance, and calibration.
• Assist with preparation of new product development samples.
• Assist with internal and external application testing of new development samples and existing formulation changes (Assist with new and existing product trials).
• Assist with non-conformance and testing of samples.
• Gathering and testing of samples of expiring chemicals at the warehouse.

Requirements

• Diploma (Chemical engineering or Chemistry). 
• Chemistry and/or chemical engineering background.
• Ability to apply theoretical information to practical situations.
• Good communication skills with the ability to report and communicate lab test results effectively.
• Technical orientated person.
• Ability to host and conduct product chemical training.

Job Specification: 

• Manage and coordinate all operational functions on site. 
• Deliver a Food Safe Facility to customer standards daily.  
• Use information obtained at the site to complete inspections, micros, audits, and customer feedback. 
• Manage site budgets and manage man-hours as per shift schedule.  
• Responsible for staff management and resolving HR related matters.  
• Coach and mentor staff as well as developing skills. 
• Drive Occupational Health and Safety and make recommendations to improve the process.  
• Ensure internal audits meet daily requirements.  
• Close out any raised non – conformance of micros out of specification and following up on NCR’s. 
• Liaise daily with customers.  
• Assist with recruitment for the region as the need arises.  
• Assist with coordinating training interventions at site level.  

Job Requirements: 

• Management /or Food Technology Qualification (advantageous). 
• Experience in FMCG and or cleaning industry essential. 
• Staff Management and Labour Relations experience is essential.  
• Experience working with a Hygiene Quality Management System is advantageous. 
• Own reliable transport essential and willingness to travel.  
• Good command of the English Language. 
• High-Quality administrative skills required. 
• Be flexible to work at various sites as requested on short notice.
• The successful incumbent must have the following skill sets:

• Able to work a strict shift position and willing to work over weekends. 
• Experience in the food production industry. 
• Must be able to manage the strict flow of operations.
