    Waitron - George

    • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be tactful, confident, have good listening skills and be able to read and understand basic English. The candidate must also be well organised, be able to cope under pressure, be able to upsell and do basic calculations.
    • A minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent; with 1 years’ experience as a Waitron in a 4* or 5* establishment is required. A Waiter certificate and knowledge of Micros and Guest Connect are advantageous.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Set-up – cutlery, food & equipment; cleanliness; refilling condiments; prepare tea & coffee; etc.
    • Meal service – all as per LQA standards, menu advise; taking & delivery orders; beverage orders; safe transportation of orders & timeous removal of trays; correct & quick bill processing;
    • Clean and re-set – clean up after shift & prepare for next shift;
    • Willingness must be willing and able to assist with other duties from time to time.
    • We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George / surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, Public holiday and shifts, and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role.

    Operations Manager: Golf

    • The ideal candidate will manage the Outside Golf Operation whilst providing an excellent golfing experience for members and guests. A minimum of Grade 12 with 3 years’ experience in golf operations; a working knowledge of MS Office, working experience on bookings & point-of-sales systems are essential, as well as a valid driver’s license.
    • A Club Management or PGA diploma is critical to being able to deliver in this role, and a working knowledge of SAP will be advantageous.
    • The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator, have good people skills, must be able to provide guests/ members with excellent service and must be reliable, honest and organised.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Manage all staff in the Outside operations (monitor leave, time & attendance, discipline, training etc.). The ideal candidate would have experience of performing all the roles required in a Golf Operations team;
    • Coordinate and execute member events and tournaments (must have the ability to run a members event on his/her own);
    • Ensure smooth communication within the golf operation departments;
    • Control all handicaps for Fancourt affiliates and address all issues relating to handicaps (it will be beneficial if the candidate plays and understand the game for golf);
    • Conduct a bi-annual Asset Audits; conduct monthly OE counts and submit reports to the Golf Director;
    • Monitor the Golf Operations expenses; ensure golf rounds are captured correctly and report monthly to the Golf Director.

    Barista

    • We are looking for people with drive and passion for the industry and who are friendly and guest centric with good communication and numerical skills.
    • We need people with a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent, 1-2 years’ experience as a Waitron / Coffee Barista in a 4* or 5* establishment. Coffee machine training and a working knowledge of Micros will be an added advantage.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Making and serving coffee;
    • Daily stock take and effective stock rotation;
    • Maintain cleanliness of working area, including garbage separation;
    • Assist Waitrons as and when needed.

    Attendant: Recreational Services

    We consider the following as essential: 

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent,
    • A minimum of 6 months operating in a gym/sports club environment.

     Duties & Responsibilities (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):

    • Daily set up, and follow up by regular walkabout of all Hotel sports & leisure facilities to ensure consistent service delivery,
    • Oversee member & guest activities displaying excellent customer service skills,
    • Promote all sports & leisure activities and services to maximize revenue opportunities,
    • Daily hiring of equipment charges posted in Concept,
    • Ensure extraordinary customer service delivery and guest satisfaction with the service, facilities and the variety of leisure offerings.
