    Senior Manager - Tax Transformation Solutions Architect

    About the Job:

    • The Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in designing, governing, and delivering enterprise‑grade technology solutions and methodologies that will enable end‑to‑end tax transformation. This role requires advising a large portfolio of clients and working in multi-disciplinary teams, including tax teams, technology analysts and Data and Analytical teams across the firm.

    Key responsibilities

    Solution Architecture & Design

    • Manage the Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) process of financial data for all tax technology types of projects.
    • Lead the architecture design of digital solutions for different clients from different tax lens inter alia, indirect tax, customs, corporate tax, transfer pricing etc. in relation to statutory reporting, legal and global tax data frameworks., with a view to enhance automation and optimisations
    • Develop end‑to‑end solution architectures covering application, data, integration, automation, cloud infrastructure and security layers.
    • Create technical design documents, architecture diagrams and solution roadmaps.
    • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements and technology governance frameworks.
    • Advise clients on how to sustain tax data quality standards in financial systems to enhance tax processes, operations and effectiveness of tax reporting and other requirements.
    • Contribute to G2M pursuits to meet specific budgetary targets.

    Tax Technology Delivery

    Architect and guide implementation of tax technology platforms such as:

    • ERP tax engines (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365 etc.)
    • Compliance and reporting platforms (mainly Digital Gateway)
    • Data and analytics (e.g Digital Gateway, Alteryx, PowerBI etc.)
    • Automation tools (Power Platforms, Alteryx, UiPath)
    • Support development teams during build, testing, deployment and UAT phases.
    • Translate functional requirements into scalable technical specifications.

    Data Architecture & Integration

    • Design data models, data pipelines, and integration patterns across ERP, finance, legal and tax systems.
    • Oversee data quality, governance, standardisation and lineage strategies for tax & legal data.
    • Partnering with data engineering teams to implement efficient ETL/ELT workflows.

    Strategic Transformation

    • Contribute to multi‑year technology strategy and platform modernisation.
    • Identify optimisation opportunities through automation, analytics, AI and simplification.
    • Ensure future‑ready designs supporting digital Tax & Legal administration (e‑Invoicing, real-time reporting etc).

    Skills and attributes required for the role:

    Skills:

    • 3+ years in solution architecture, software engineering, or enterprise architecture.
    • Experienced delivering technology solutions within Tax, Finance, or ERP transformation programmes.
    • Good understanding of tax processes (direct/indirect tax, tax reporting, provision, transfer pricing etc.) and implementation of automation technology

    Hands‑on experience with one or more:

    • SAP or Oracle tax functionality
    • Cloud architecture (Azure/AWS)
    • Integration technologies (APIs, middleware, ETL tools)

    Senior Manager- Enterprise Risk Management

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • Our national Internal Audit and ERM Services practice provides strategic sourcing of Internal Audit; Enterprise Risk Management; Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Contract Compliance and Sustainability services. This opportunity involves a strong focus on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and the delivery of risk management solutions to our clients.
    • We currently have a vacancy for one experienced candidate within our JHB office who will support the ERM team with ERM delivery for a wide variety of clients across all industries while providing clients with real, value added consulting services while enhancing the image of KPMG in the marketplace.

    Key responsibilities:
    General

    • Lead project management efforts including strategic resource planning, budgeting, and overseeing adherence to budgets, billing and collections, quality assurance, and risk management on engagements.
