    Lecturer in Sports Management

    Main Purpose of the Role   

    • The lecturer will teach a range of subjects in the Personal Training Higher Certificate curriculum and/or the Sport Management Diploma.
    • The lecturer must be able to design and deliver lectures, lead discussions, and conduct practical sessions to assist students grasp concepts and enhance their academic learning experience.
    • The role includes but is not limited to lecturing, marking, feedback, student evaluation and academic support.  The lecturer will also have responsibility for academic material and assessment, setting in some modules as a module lead.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Teaching and Instruction

    • Deliver lectures, workshops, and tutorials.
    • Design and update course content, curriculum, and instructional materials.
    • Employ a range of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
    • Incorporate technology and digital tools to enhance learning.

     Assessment and Evaluation

    • Design and administer assessments (e.g., exams, assignments, presentations).
    • Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to aid in their academic development.
    • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.

     Student Support and Mentorship

    • Provide academic advice and guidance to students, helping them set and achieve learning goals.
    • Be accessible for consultation hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.

    Curriculum Development

    • Contribute to the planning, review, and improvement of academic programmes and courses.
    • Ensure course content aligns with the latest developments in the field and meets accreditation standards.

    Professional Development and Collaboration

    • Engage in continuous professional development to improve teaching effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with colleagues on research projects particularly related to teaching and learning.

    Administrative Duties

    • Manage course-related administrative tasks, such as attendance, grading, and reporting.
    • Serve on committees if/as required.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of department policies and initiatives.

    Marketing Consultant

    Role Description:

    • The Marketing Consultant is responsible for engaging with prospective students and their families through outbound calls to promote NewBridge Graduate Institute’s qualifications, programmes, and opportunities as well as to support the student recruitment team with database capturing, lead collection and management.
    • This role plays a vital part in generating leads, scheduling appointments, capturing data and supporting the student recruitment process to meet campus enrolment targets.
    • The Marketing Consultant will represent NGI’s brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a student-centric approach.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Outbound Calling:

    • Conduct daily phone calls to prospective students, parents, or guardians from provided lead lists or school databases to book interviews on the campus.
    • Deliver clear, engaging, and accurate information about NGI’s programs, campus life, and application process.
    • Follow up with leads to maintain interest and encourage progression through the recruitment funnel (leads to appointments to applications to registration).

    Lead Organization, Generation and Data Collection:

    • Identify and qualify potential students by asking relevant questions to assess interest and eligibility.
    • To assist the Senior Marketing Consultant in categorising and segmenting leads based on relevant criteria (eg: location, programme preferences, recruitment stage) to enable precise targeting for marketing and sales campaigns.
    • Update and maintain accurate records of interactions in the institute’s CRM and dashboard system.
    • Contribute to expanding the campus database by collecting contact details from targeted schools or events (under supervision).
    • Attend Career Fairs/Expos & Presentations to support the Student Advisor team

    Database Capturing:

    • Capture leads generated from school engagements such as presentations and career fairs and web enquiries onto the campus CRM system and Dashboard report
    • Assist the Senior Marketing Consultant with ad-hoc administration

    Appointment Scheduling:

    • Secure appointments for prospective students to meet with Student Advisors or attend campus open/registration days.
    • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure seamless handovers of qualified leads.

    Brand Representation:

    • Act as a friendly and professional consultant for NGI, reflecting the institute’s values of empowerment, education, and support.
    • Address basic inquiries about programs, fees, bursaries, and entry requirements, referring complex queries to the appropriate team member.
    • To conduct interviews with students and parents at certain events in the year such as Open Days and Registration Days in a support capacity.

    Target Achievement:

    • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly call targets as set by the Vice Principal Student Affairs
    • Contribute to team goals for applications and registrations by driving initial engagement with prospects.

    Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the Student Recruitment team to align efforts with campus sales plans.
    • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and calling techniques.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Excellent Communication Skills: Verbal communication skills with a clear, confident, and friendly telephone manner.
    • Persuasion: Ability to engage and motivate prospective students, overcoming objections with tact and enthusiasm.
    • Organization: Strong time management and record-keeping skills to handle high call volumes and maintain accurate data.
    • Resilience: Comfortable with rejection and able to maintain a positive attitude in a target-driven environment.
    • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support team objectives.
    • Tech-Savvy: Basic proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and phone systems

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Education: Minimum of a Grade 12 certificate (Matric); a tertiary qualification (e.g., certificate or diploma) is advantageous but not required.

    Experience:

    • At least 2 years previous experience in telesales, customer service, or a call center environment is preferred but not essential.

    Language:

    • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional South African languages (e.g., Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa) is a plus.

    Requirements

    • Driver’s License: Ideal
    • Standard Office Hours: 08:00AM to 16:30PM 
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including peak recruitment periods (eg: evenings or Saturdays during open and registration days).

    Working Conditions

    • Office-based with a focus on a supportive and collaborative team atmosphere. Travelling to schools to participate and assist at career fairs/expos as and when required.

    Senior Student Advisor

    Role Description:

    • To reach individual and campus database collection, appointment, application, and registration targets.
    • Responsible for initiating and managing relationships with prospective students from target schools through every stage of the recruitment process (leads, appointments, applications, and registrations) and report on individual sales activities per set targets.
    • This is a full-time on-site role.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Secure and complete high energy presentations at targeted schools as per school distribution list. Distribute marketing material such as the campus brochures and hand out interest cards to students.
    • Represent the brand at career expo's in a professional and engaging manner.
    • Meet Calling and WhatsApp targets to leads on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
    • Conduct high energy interviews with prospective students to meet interview, application and pre-registration targets.
    • Possess detailed knowledge of all NGI programmes, module composition, and pricing structures and can market and sell to students and parents in an interview.
    • Detailed knowledge of all bursaries offered by the institute and to know how to convey and explain the benefits of the bursary options to students and parents.
    • Attend weekly campus sales meetings to discuss challenges as well as report on sales activities against set targets and agree and implement solutions to any challenges discussed.
    • To support and encourage sign ups from prospective students to the Newbridge Sports Institute through an active and convincing sale of the service.
    • Update the campus CRM/Dashboard Information system to manage leads and sales processes.
    • Ensure all sales activities take place in line with tasks that have been set in the campus sales and marketing plan.
    • Attend training and coaching with regards to product knowledge and sales techniques on an ongoing basis.

    Required Competencies:

    • Two years sales experience with a proven track record.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Target driven, friendly and methodical individual who works accurately and can handle pressure.
    • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to present confidently to large audiences.
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
    • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, with previous experience in higher education sales preferred.

    Minimum Qualification:

    • Relevant Undergraduate Degree in Business Management, Marketing or equivalent

    Role Specific Requirement:

    • Drivers license and own vehicle is a compulsory requirement
    • Salary: Competitive salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
