    RHHC Clinical Programme Coordinator

    Main Focus Areas

    • Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will take responsibility for ensuring effective implementation, management and sustainability of clinical programs (e.g., cardiac, stroke & trauma) aligned to international best practice and/or accreditation requirements, in conjunction with Lenmed Group Managers.  In addition, the successful candidate will facilitate communication and engagement between MDT members via relevant clinical committees; coordinating all information and documentation for these forums.  There is a large focus on management of data registries and using data and outcomes to drive quality improvement initiatives with stakeholders.  The Clinical Programme Coordinator has an indirect reporting line into Group in that implementation of clinical programs and accreditation is a strategic objective for Lenmed.  All clinical programme accreditation work is done under the guidance of the Group heads.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Understanding the objectives of clinical programs and accreditation requirements (stroke, trauma, cardiac etc.)
    • Engaging with MDT members on the requirements of these programs and ensuring that all parties understand their roles and responsibilities
    • Interpreting cardiac/trauma/stroke requirements and ensuring these are translated into practice (there could be other clinical requirements added from time to time, dependent upon the selection of clinical programme)
    • Applying relevant clinical knowledge, including knowledge of the entire patient journey, to meet certain requirements of clinical programs linked to local/international standards
    • Coordinating relevant committee meetings, applying the terms of reference and standard agenda, and documenting of minutes/actions.
    • Analyzing and interpreting data including process and outcomes data, radiology and pathology data, and the like, and identifying improvement opportunities
    • Documenting quality improvement project cycles using PDCA and working with key stakeholders to implement improvement actions
    • Conducting internal compliance audits to assess level of compliance to programme requirements
    • Coordinating emergency preparedness mock drills and simulations, including coordinating all parties at the right time and ensuring everyone knows what is required of them in an emergency situation
    • Providing ongoing ad-hoc communication and reporting (both internally and externally), as and when required.
    • Coordinating community events involving screening and education, dependent upon clinical programme/accreditation requirements
    • Conducting/coordinating employee training based on the requirements of the clinical programme/accreditation

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Diploma/Degree in Nursing or Nursing education with critical care or specialist unit experience, e.g. (ICU or trauma background) or ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) (could be a registered paramedic)
    • Updated BLS certificate and current registration with SANC, if applicable
    • 3+ years’ business experience with exposure to quality improvement
    • Understanding private health industry, its challenges and the key role players
    • Computer literacy is essential (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Drivers’ license and own transport

    Nursing Services Manager - LVPH

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Nursing Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall nursing operations in the hospital by co-ordinating all nursing functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of quality person centred care, compliance with all healthcare regulations, optimal resource management and effective stakeholder engagement.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Facilitate safe, cost-effective quality person-centred care in line with Lenmed’s nursing & clinical governance strategy
    • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies and procedures.
    • Initiate and drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • A Degree/Diploma in nursing
    • Current registration with the SANC as a Registered Nurse, Midwife, Psychiatric and Community Health Nurse
    • A post basic qualification in Nursing Administration/Management
    • A minimum of three years experience in a private hospital setting in a Senior Nursing Management role
    • Excellent Computer literacy
    • Strong knowledge of clinical best practices and healthcare regulations
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

    LVPH - Registered Nurse Theatre Experienced

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies and will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse Equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
    • Relevant qualification in Theatre and experience within a specialized area.
    • Compulsory BLS certification,
    • Advanced Computer Literacy.
    • Flexible in working hours/Shifts.
    • Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.

    • Must be able to be accountable for decisions made and be able to work under pressure.​
    • Own transport.​
    • Must be willing to do calls during the week and weekends.​
    • Theatre experience will be an advantage.​

    RHHC Unit Manger ICU/CCU

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multidisciplinary team In accordance, the Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / her unit
