    Renal Transplant Co-Ordinator

    • A vacancy exists for a Renal Transplant Co-Ordinator reporting to the Nurse Manager – Specialised Units. The successful candidate will be responsible for the renal transplant program in KZN.

    Critical Outputs

    • Marketing to emergency services, emergency departments and ICU’s.
    • Travelling to assess the compatibility of potential donors, where necessary approach next of kin, cadaver brain death certification.
    • Co-ordinate all the clinical and pathology test of donor/recipient tissue typing and cross matching.
    • Ensuring that the donor/recipient receives psychological support where necessary.
    • In the event of an unnatural death requiring forensic post mortem, obtain written permission from the relevant forensic pathologist for the removal organs
    • Co-ordination of the various surgical teams, theatre for organ retrieval and transplant.
    • Follow up with the donor families and staff from the referring hospital
    • Maintain all legal documents pertaining to the case
    • Maintain a register of donors and recipients.
    • Function as a clinical expert in achieving patient outcomes.
    • Promote transplant awareness and education.
    • Patient education and counselling of potential recipients and donors, in respect to listing for transplant.
    • Liaising with medical aids.
    • Obtaining department of health approval.
    • Promote customer satisfaction within the hospital, address customer complaints, conduct quality care rounds and clinical practice audits to monitor care levels and report accordingly.
    • Identify clinical and safety risks and trends and assist with implementation of corrective action where necessary and monitor on an ongoing basis.
    • Initiate and drive functional specific best operating practice, communicate these for wider implementation and participate in hospital specific marketing initiatives.
    • Demonstrate visible leadership in respect of LHC values, operating model, nursing strategy and image of the profession, actively sponsor LHC initiatives and projects to ensure continued and improved productivity.
    • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. HOD’s, Enabling functions, patients, family members, service providers and doctors etc.) through ongoing communication and feedback.

    Requirements

    • Experienced ICU Registered Nurse with valid registration at SANC.
    • Transplant experience and co-ordination is preferred and will be advantageous.
    • Must be able to manage both live and cadaver donors.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment.
    • Effective counselling skills including appropriate knowledge of HIV.
    • Excellent presentation skills and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with others, establishing, and maintaining good working relationships.
    • The ability to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary.

    Key Accounts Manager

    • A vacancy exists for a Key Accounts Manager, based at Head Office, Dunkeld, the successful candidate will be responsible for collections and credit control Key Accounts clients. It will require working as part of the Credit Risk Management team with the aim of meeting stringent deadlines and targets set by the Head of Credit Operations.     Critical Outputs
    Credit Risk Management

    • Integrate the principles of sound credit risk management across all portfolios and within performance metrics

    Credit Collection Process

    • Manage and achieve cash targets set out and report deviations therefrom in such a way that timely insights are available to the Head: Credit Operations
    • Manage the debtor days’ targets set out by the Head: Credit Operations for all designated funders/stakeholders
    • Ensure all rejections are managed timeously with various stakeholders
    • Ensure remittances are reconciled and actioned accordingly

    Requirements

    • The requirement for this role is a relevant NQF 7 qualification. However, in exceptional circumstances where applicants have significant relevant experience and have also commenced and made progress to acquire the required qualifications for this role, such applicants may be considered and if deemed suitable, accommodated in terms of the Company’s Personal Grades - Blue Flag/Red Flag Policy.
    • The successful candidate will need to have experience in managing credit control at a Senior level in a healthcare environment.

    Radiographer | EMR Unit

    • A vacancy exists for a Radiographer, who will be required to work at Eugene Marais Radiology, reporting to the Senior/Head Radiographer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high quality service to both Inpatients and Outpatients. This will include General Radiography, Theatre Imaging, Mammography and CT.
