    Robot Specialist

    Primary purpose of the job

    • Perform general electrical maintenance, preventative maintenance as well as fault finding maintenance on industrial robots, project installations and robotic applications.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Repair and maintain robots to ensure customer and company quality standards are met.
    • Do fault finding and preventative maintenance as per maintenance schedule and according to job cards and relevant work instruction.
    • Compile feedback on time sheets to ensure accurate repair data.
    • Ensure that company procedures, works instructions and quality systems are adhered to at all times.
    • Participate actively in the departmental M2S as per company requirement.
    • Ensure that work practises comply with the company SHEQ procedures and works instructions.

    Knowledge and Skills required.

    • Technical techniques
    • Fault finding and robots repair and maintenance KUKA and ABB 
    • Manufacturing processes BMW V8
    • Basic understanding of quality systems
    • Fault finding and maintenance presses
    • Problem solving
    • Communication
    • Read electronic drawings

    Minimum Requirements

    • NQF 6
    • Educational qualification: Qualified Electrician/ Millwright/ Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Robot Technician within an Automotive environment
    • Extensive working knowledge of ABB and Kuka Robots.

    Production Manager

    Primary purpose of the job

    • To carry prime responsibility/accountability for managing the Press/Assembly Part Manufacturing in all its facets, including the infrastructure to support the process, to ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled through cost effective resource utilisation, schedules and quality.

    PLC Specialist

    Primary purpose of the job

    • Perform general electrical maintenance, preventative maintenance as well as fault finding maintenance on industrial robots, projects, and robotic applications standards

    Key Performance Areas

    • Repair and maintain robots to ensure customer and company quality standards are met
    • Do fault finding and preventative maintenance as per maintenance schedule according to job cards and relevant works instruction
    • Compile feedback on time sheets and ensure accurate repair data
    • Ensure company procedures, works instruction and quality systems are always adhered to.
    • Participate actively in the departmental problem solving as per company requirements
    • Ensure that works practises comply with the company SHEQ procedures and works instructions.

    • Extensive working knowledge of PLC programming, Siemens ABB; KUKA
    • KRC 4; TIA Portal, Integra wave 4; PLC programming, Siemens S5 & S7,
    • Festo S7, Festo and ABB Stamp master
    • T3/S4 Diploma Instrumentation/ Eletronic/Eletrical/Machatronics
    • 2-3 years as Technician in the electrical field, especially in Automation (pneumatics, hydraulics, maintenance/robotics/projects)
