Duties:
Reportng directly to the Manager: Technical Services, the incumbent will perform the following dues:

• Manage operaons and maintenance rural water
• Ensure the provision of an efficient, reliable and effecverural water supply and maintenance service to municipal area
• Manage staff within the division
• Provide supervision, training, capacity building, technical support and guidance to staff Manage the division's budget 
• Perform administrave funcons by subming council reports, stascs, compiling tender documents,processing of payment cerficates
• Liaise with the public, other municipal departments and government sectordepartments
• Quality control and monitoring of projects
• Manage and maintain water and services funcon 
• Develop, plan, implement and drive water operaonal strategies
• Assist with relevant technical designs,information and support
• Ensure that the relevant water analysis are done
• Ensure that the municipalitycomplies with the Blue Drop specificaons
• Ensure compliance with the relevant Water Acts and regulatory frameworks
• Perform any other reasonable task.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree / BTech in Water Care/Civil Engineering/ Community Water and Sanitation or equivalent.
• A certificate in project management will be an added advantage.
• 5 years of experience which 3 years in a technician posion.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Divisional Head: Roads & Stormwater, the incumbent will perform the following dues:

• Road Inspections: Carry out routine inspections to idenfy maintenance needs
• Maintenance Planning: Assisng in the development of maintenance plans, schedules, and budgets
• Supervising maintenance crews, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Supervise projects performed by outside contractors and consultants
• Monitoring maintenance acvies to ensure compliance with standards, regulaons, and quality expectaons

Requirements:

• Grade 12 and a Diploma in Civil Engineering, plus 2 - 3 years' experience in roads and stormwater.
• Project management and municipal background will be an added advantage.

• Supervise staff within section Implement plans for maintenance of road and storm water infrastructure 
• Liaise with communities by evaluating their needs Control the quality of work done

• N6 in Civil Engineering plus trade test cerficate and 1 - 2 years' relevant experience in roads and storm water.
• Project management and municipal background will be an added advantage.
• Code B driver's license

• Carry out pothole patching and surface repairs
• Undertake routine inspections and identify pavement defects, cracks or wear areas
• Construct, repair and maintain side drains, culverts, pipes and gabon structures
• Clean, maintain and build stormwater channels

Requirements:

• N5 in Civil Engineering plus trade test cerficate and 1 year relevant experience in roads and storm water.
• Code B driver's license
