    Data Insights and Analytics Manager

    This role will entail (non-exhaustive list):

    • Working with key stakeholders across Business Solutions to understand data and analytics requirements;
    • Negotiate and influence stakeholders in regards to requirements gathering, return on investment and project timelines
    • Working with the Tech Central Data Intelligence team to drive efficiencies and improve current offering
    • Building effective solutions using a range of data transformation/analytic tools in response to stakeholder feedback
    • Project manage work from creation to implementation ensuring deadlines are met
    • Working across the whole Data & Insights team (including governance and data lifecycle) to ensure teams, and current and new solutions are aligned and compliant with regulations
    • Driving the consolidation of reporting, insights and dashboards across a variety of stakeholder groups
    • Supporting and providing advice to the stakeholders across Business Solutions
    • Upskilling junior members of staff in data transformation and analytics tools
    • Applying an agile mindset, demonstrating flexibility to quickly shift priorities of focus to support the extended Data & Insights team
    • Managing and coaching junior members of the team to ensure projects are progressing and to have oversight of the pipeline of work and team priorities

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Experience with data transformation and visualisation tools (e.g. e.g. Alteryx,PowerBI, SQL, Python, Databricks)
    • Previous analytical experience in a professional environment;
    • Line management experience;
    • Strong project management skills/experience;
    • The ability to review and critically assess processes, working with colleagues to drive change;

    Manager – Africa Office of the General Counsel (Generalist)

    Primary responsibilities for this role

    • The position reports directly to an Associate Director with the Office of General Counsel (OGC) and ultimately to the Africa General Counsel and the role is to be part of a team of lawyers supporting PwC across its Africa Territory (South, East and West Market Areas).
    • The main purpose of the role is to provide legal support to the various pillars in the General Counsel team - made up of Contracting, Litigation, Regulatory & LoS Counseling, Investigations, Data Protection, Intellectual Property and Technology as well as Legal and Regulatory Compliance. 
    • The role includes providing assistance to various functional areas within the Firm to assist them with complying with their regulatory obligations, including, amongst others, reporting to the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the Financial Sector Conduct Authority, the Prudential Authority and the Information Protection Regulator. The role will also include drafting and reviewing of various contracts, including standard form agreements and negotiating with stakeholders on amendments required. 

    Examples of responsibilities include, amongst others, the following:

    • Investigate, manage and provide assistance in potential legal,actual or potential litigious and regulatory matters, including dealing with internal departments such as forensics, ethics and business conduct and external stakeholders such as law firms
    • Conduct legal research and opinion writing;
    • Provide accurate and practical/commercial legal advice to the firm and its lines of service generally, including interpretation of applicable legislation, directives, regulations and contracts
    • Conduct legal research an opinion writing
    • Provide support to or lead, as may be required, special projects
    • Assist in preparation of various documents and provide assistance to the Africa General Counsel and other resources in the team

    • Drafting review and negotiation of contracts;

    Competencies / Skills

    • Relevant professional legal qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Laws (LLB))
    • Admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
    • 3 or more years’ post-qualification legal experience
    • Litigation, regulatory and commercial legal experience or knowledge highly advantageous
    • The ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently and practically with a commercial focus

    Thought Leadership Specialist - JHB

    Responsibilities

    • Project manage and coordinate the production of PwC thought leadership for external publication, including:
    • Reports on industry sectors, thematic market trends and other topical subjects.
    • Survey analysis reports, providing insight on survey research.
    • Executive summaries and short white paper analyses.
    • Develop a project plan that includes all relevant stakeholders across PwC.
    • Develop detailed knowledge of the target audience for each project and ensure an appropriate tone of voice.
    • Work closely with Africa CMD strategic marketers, research team, Digital Presence team and Integrated Content team to:
    • Help guide the thought leadership content development process and clarify expectations, timelines and delivery objectives within the CMD team and with CMD’s clients.
    • Help amplify thought leadership through digital marketing channels, events, and publicise it in the media and with alumni, and reference it appropriately in proposals.

    Guidewire Testing

    What will you do?

    • Develop Test plans, approach and scoping.
    • Establish and implement an approach for managing test data.
    • Analyse requirements to ensure completeness of test cases.
    • Develop test scenarios that reflect the capabilities being established in projects.
    • Work with the Business Analyst to establish proper test coverage and traceability to requirements.

    • Experience in functional and non-functional (performance, security, regulatory and compliance) testing.
    • Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance across the SDLC.
    • Understanding of the use of Test Metrics to support risk assessment and decision making.
    • Experience in Requirements Management, Test Management and Defect Management tools, like Jira and Xray.
    • Knowledge of the AGILE methodology/Scaled Agile Framework, SDLC processes will be an added advantage.
