    Senior Process Engineer & Capital Manager - Brits

    Role purpose

    • Lead, identify, coordinate and manage continuous improvements projects using lean manufacturing practices and principles as the foundation to ensure sustainability of process improvement implementations.
    • Work closely with the production team, Implementation Task Force Team, Process/Team Leads, Seed Techs, Seasonal employees, Continuous Improvement networks and Change Management / HR team ensuring the required processes and procedures are used to drive continuous improvement opportunities to ensure strong focus on customer needs.
    • Support production teams with continuous improvement projects focusing on all Lean practices deemed necessary.

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Lead and manage best practices and continuous improvement opportunities, cost reduction and analyse the main variables of the process, proposing actions to the production team in the case of deviation / changes that may cause problems of loss of production / quality / safety / environment.
    • Legal appointments as – Act as site GMR (2.1) and Explosion Safety Expert according the OHS act – Equipment safety.
    • Be sites responsible Machinery Safety Specialist.
    • Support the operation team to develop and review site key performance indicators that provide a clear tracking system on manufacturing performance and drive action.

    Senior Maintenance Specialist - Brits

    Role purpose

    • Responsible for all electrical & mechanical maintenance of all production equipment, Field & Plant, as well as all maintenance of facilities on site.
    • Responsible for fault finding, repair and replacement of mechanical and /or electrical equipment to ensure a smooth, efficient operation of all operational equipment.
    • Responsible for all production equipment and facilities preventative maintenance planning and the execution thereof.
    • Be the first line of contact for any electrical or mechanical breakdown and furthermore, to be hands on to do repair work and if needed act as the liaison to external maintenance technical experts to support breakdown repairs.
    • Responsible to manage third party maintenance contractors to ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and satisfactory to industry standards, HSE requirements and regulations.
    • The candidate will ensure all maintenance activities are executed in compliance with industries standards and company procedures, maintaining our commitment to safety, environment, quality and efficiency.

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Have specialist knowledge of: Electrical motors and pumps (single and three-phase) up to 250kW, Transformers and generators (2MVA), PLC’s and plant SCADA systems, commissioning and installation, Processing line safety relays/PLC’s, Electrical single line diagram drawings (read, update, create), Complex faultfinding, Electrical distribution and ancillaries.
    • Dismantle machinery and equipment to gain access and perform diagnoses and repairs.
    • Daily inspect, record and report information that may impede the operation of the plant.
    • Responsible to ensure the necessary spare parts and tools required for maintenance activities are ordered in conjunction with production administration and accountability is taken for the Goods Receipt thereof.
    • Ensure that all electrical and mechanical equipment are operating in strict accordance with government and company rules and regulations.
    • Establish contingency plans to address unexpected equipment failures or emergencies.
    • Practice safe working procedure in accordance with statutory regulations and OHS Act.

    Role purpose

    • Provide overall coordination of Product Supply Systems (OnePSS) implementation and sustainability at site level, driving success through continuous improvements using lean practices as cultural change is taking place.     Strategy Developer Crop Protection - Isando

    Role Purpose                                                                       

    • Responsible for developing customer facing squad focused marking plans for crop protection while implementing the RSA Go-To-Market (GtM) strategy and campaigns for key farmer and channel segments within their customer facing squad. Drive GTM strategy, squad focused activation & squad marketing plans.
    • Liaising and feeding back insights and local marketing plans to GTM team in Value Proposition supporting Squad.
    • Achieve sustainable profitability and market share consistent with the KPI’s for CP, by satisfying current and future customer needs through tailored solutions.
    • Enable Customer Facing Squad to execute effectively on their go-to-market strategies.

    Key Responsibilities and Tasks

    • Develop & implement short, mid-term integrated marketing strategies and campaigns in CF Squad, in alignment with GTM, cluster and regional crop strategies to address customer segment needs and requirements for CP
    • Ensure that GTM strategies are effectively implemented through tactical marketing plans based on customer segmentation
    • Define product/solution needs to achieve squad strategies and collaborate with cluster crop teams to ensure availability of such products/solutions for crop protection.

    Role purpose

    • Provide advice, administration, support and responses necessary to assist in maintaining the ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems in accordance with standard requirements and QA policies in order to maintain an effective up-to-date QA system.     Production Scheduler - Brits

    Role purpose

    • This role will be responsible for the end-to-end (From planning, planting, harvesting, drying, shelling, processing, and warehousing & distribution) planning, schedule and execution of all production related activities for the Brits Foundation Seed Site.

    Key responsibilities and tasks

    • Expedite the flow of work and materials between departments according to the production schedule and determine the progress of work, inventory levels of consumables and identify production problems proactively all with good focus on cost management.
    • Planning, scheduling and ensuring execution of all Production activities for Brits, from field preparations up to finished product in the bag and distribution thereof.
    • Responsible for actively managing inventory of consumable to ensure no production related activities are interrupted.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions for increased efficiency.
    • Schedule and lead all production related meetings with the field and plant teams to ensure smooth flow of product.

    • Maintain planning and scheduling records as required by the QMS management systems.
