    Project Manager

    About the job

    • Our client in the financial services sector based in Cape Town is looking to achieve significant efficiencies in financial reporting processes, free up the capacity of finance professionals, and enhance their ability to generate insights from data. To effectively manage the programme's scope they need to bolster project management overall and apply management to distinct capability deliveries.
    • They are also looking for a project manager with expertise in finance and project management as relates to capabilities for Financial Consolidation, Financial Planning, and Analytics. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Generation of Business Requirements - Collaborating with stakeholders to enable business analysts to gather and document detailed business requirements.
    • Transformational Delivery - Leading the transformational delivery of the finance capabilities in scope.
    • System and Data Delivery - Overseeing the implementation of systems and data solutions that support finance reporting, planning and analytics.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
    • Ensuring timely and effective communication with all stakeholders.
    • Monitoring and reporting on project progress and performance.

    Requirements:

    • Financial experience/background/skills in relation to finance consolidation, financial planning and analytics

    Relevant Qualification

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles

    Senior Process Analyst

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process Analysis - Conducting thorough analysis of existing financial reporting processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
    • Business Analysis - Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.
    • Process Design - Designing and proposing process improvements and solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implementation Support - Assisting in the implementation of process improvements, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
    • Stakeholder Engagement - Engaging with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive understanding and buy-in for proposed changes.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Mapping current and future state processes.
    • Identifying and documenting process gaps and inefficiencies.
    • Developing process documentation and training materials.
    • Facilitating workshops and meetings to gather requirements and validate solutions.
    • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of process improvement initiatives.

    Requirements:

    • Financial Reporting experience/background/skills

    Senior Python Developer (Django)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the technical modernisation of our Django-based insurance platform
    • Design and implement robust APIs and integrations
    • Drive best practices in software development and system architecture
    • Mentor and technically grow team members
    • Contribute to system design decisions and technical direction
    • Implement security best practices and maintain data integrity

    Technical Requirements:

    • Strong experience with Python and Django framework
    • Proven experience with API development and integration
    • Solid understanding of MariaDB/MySQL and database optimisation
    • Experience with modern development practices and tools
    • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
    • Understanding of security best practices in financial systems

    Additional Skills:

    • Experience with insurance or financial systems is advantageous
    • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks
    • Familiarity with containerisation and deployment automation
    • Experience with system modernisation and legacy code improvement
