    Electrical Engineer

    Job Description and Responsibilities:

    • The release of Electrical components for vehicles
    • The resolution of design related problems on all locally manufactured platforms
    • Co-ordination of testing and release of components and system, locally and at source
    • Maintaining and updating the BOM system
    • Problem analysis
    • Maintaining and updating the bill of materials system
    • Cost analysis of various components, systems and projects
    • Cost saving (PKO) initiation and investigations
    • Project management on new or changed systems and components

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor of Science Degree / B-Tech or National Diploma in Engineering (Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering) 
    • A minimum of 5 years’ design and development experience in an automotive components for volume production.

    • High level of understanding of technical/engineering concepts and design
    • Good communication skills

    2X Quality Engineers

    Job Description and Responsibilities:

    • Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced employees to fill the above vacancy In Quality Assurance – QA Vehicle Manufacturing Department.
    • As part of the QAVM engineering team the successful candidate will take up the role of a quality engineer to ensure that problem analysis is done to the required Group guidelines and meets the customer’s expectations.
    • The QA Engineer has to clearly define and coordinate corrective actions.

    Education and Experience:

    • Have a minimum National Diploma in one of the following engineering sciences (ND Mechanical. Electrical, Mechatronics, Metallurgy)
    • Have 3 -5 years’ experience within the manufacturing industry.

    ESSENTIAL:

    • Have good report writing and presentation skills.
    • Have proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Sound knowledge of Vehicle Manufacturing processes

    Quality Engineer Process Audits & Resolutions - PA 1303

    Job Description and Responsibilities:

    • Implementing best practices by benchmarking End of Line activities and processes with other factories and internally discussing and deciding on the implementation of changes in order to streamline the operations and become more competitive.
    • Ensuring that the area operates according to regulatory, internal process standards and external standards (TUV, VDA. Etc.) through area audits and implementation of corrective measures in thereby delivering consistent process parameters and outputs.
    • Identifying and highlighting non-conformities and opportunities for improvements by planning, defining and conducting process audits in order to improve process stability thereby enabling consistent quality outputs.
    • Ensuring resolution of identified process/facility deviations by analyzing the root cause and implementing corrective measures to ensure adherence to standards and guidelines.
    • Improving awareness on non-conformities and opportunities for improvement by representing department during internal process audits, TUV audits and TQS audits to enable improved processes / process environments.
    • Ensuring product, employee safety and process security by liaising with Process owners and support management to contain severe non-conformities at the time of detection as outlined in the VW group Guideline. 
    • Implementing immediate action on major non-conformities by ensuring points are escalated to the Quality Supervisor and Manager on the day of detection for containment within 24hours to ensure immediate resolution. 
    • Ensuring the validity of submitted process corrective actions by analyzing the plausibility of the corrective actions to provide feedback on the effectiveness of actions and escalate where necessary for improvements. 
    • Improving the understanding of the VDA process methodology by providing insight into the described process methodologies.

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum of a National Diploma in Operations Management.
    • A National Diploma/BSc in an Engineering field would be advantageous. 
    • Minimum +-5 years relevant automotive manufacturing experience

    ESSENTIAL:

     

    • Knowledge of vehicle components and systems.
    • Working knowledge of VW Group regulations and guidelines
    • Working knowledge of the applicable VDA6.3 /TQS standards

    Quality Engineer – Project & Process - PA 1303

    Job Description and Responsibilities:

    • Managing and driving all projects related activities for QAVM EOL, during the different phases by ensuring that units are tracked and routed through the correct processes and audited within the agreed timelines.
    • Identifying and understanding all new product and process part changes for MY and New model introduction, and presenting to team, for ease of understanding, and inspection, thereby enabling a good sign off product.
    • Representing QAVM EOL at all inter divisional projects meetings, and assist, identify and highlight non-conformities and opportunities for improvements, in order to streamline or improve processes.
    • Performing and approving all fitment trails of new and changed product parts, prior to introduction with responsible departments, to ensure that parts conform to the required quality specifications, and the desired quality standards are achieved.
    • Preparing and presenting project units to management, with the knowledge and background of each unit, and with the relevant information and documentation, to ensure units conform to the required quality acceptant standard, for management signoff.
    • Providing information of ECR’s and deviations to the team, thereby ensuring that the team is aware and understands the changes and the expectation of quality, when con-ducting inspection, or DKA audits, to ensure a good signoff quality product.
    • Escalating the process when quality requirements are not met, to ensure that early preventative actions are taken by the responsible stakeholders, thereby ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Generating project investments requirements, and control expenditure within the approved budget and help to set financial objectives with QAVM EOL Manager.

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum National Diploma/BSc in an Engineering field.
    • Minimum +-5 years relevant automotive manufacturing experience
