    EMEA Security Design Manager

    Responsibilities

    • DCPS is looking for a Security Design Manager to lead projects involving physical security systems design, specification, and technical oversight for our worldwide critical infrastructure including datacenters, leased collocations, and other types of facilities. This position is responsible for working directly with numerous internal and external teams, including architects, engineers, numerous security vendors, construction / project managers, and customers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services across a wide array of stakeholders and priorities.
    • The Security Design Manager position reports to the Datacenter Physical Security Delivery Lead and must be an experienced team player, possess strong communication and collaboration skills, have the ability to determine the appropriate security systems solutions, and manage a demanding workload in the execution of multiple concurrent projects across geographic and organizational boundaries.
    • Designs end-to-end and supports the implementation of security systems. Responsible for implementing the design and specification of alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, burglary, radio systems and all other types of physical security equipment to achieve security program goals for special projects and initiatives.
    • Review, modify, and approve all security designs produced by external security vendors.
    • Oversee projects to ensure they are delivered in accordance with established baseline requirements and deadlines and within budget.
    • Participate in project estimating processes as well as contribute to others budgeting processes for physical security system needs in other groups.
    • Partner and collaborate closely with peer leaders and stakeholders, focused on maintaining a One Microsoft, one team environment.
    • Continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the overall physical security program.

    Qualifications
    Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering
    • OR equivalent experience.
    • Technical experience with enterprise level cloud infrastructure and systems.
    • Technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering
    • Experience with C# and XML

    Other Requirements:

    • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering
    • OR equivalent experience.
    • Technical experience working with large-scale cloud (e.g. Azure) or distributed systems.
    • Experience with C# and XML.
    • Experience with SQL.
    • Experience with Bicep / ARM templates.
    • Experience managing global / enterprise wide applications.
    • Management Information Systems (MIS), or other industry or product specific Engineering Certifications.
    • Experience supporting Environmental, Health and Safety application platforms

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and/or performance of supported products and services.
    • Leverages ADO for project priotization of product backlog items.
    • Troubleshooting the application and infrastructure.
    • Building data integrations and developing an understanding of the business logic and data requirements.
    • Working with vendors and team members to design and build new modules and features for the EHS platform.
    • Leverage best practices to create, update and maintain run books.
    • Takes ownership of service design by driving reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions.
    • Partners and shares technical expertise with interdisciplinary teams, demonstrating a deep understanding of services and the ability to clearly articulate the specific technologies of a service to enable development and ongoing maintenance.
    • Drives efficiency by developing scripts and/or automation and leveraging telemetry data to identify patterns and trends that drive continuous improvement.
    • Resolves issues with services, minimizes customer impact, and documents solutions that inform ongoing improvements and prevent the recurrence of similar issues.
    • Partners closely with internal customers and engineering teams to conduct root cause analyses, share end-to-end expertise in services, and to mitigate and resolve issues.
    • Shares insights and best practices that can be applied to improve development and operations of the system, platform, or product components and features by participating in design reviews, incident drills and debriefs, and regular meetings, as well as interactions with more experienced Service Engineers and members of product engineering teams.
    • Adheres to data privacy, security and compliance standards and works with relevant teams to identify and address relevant issues.
