About The Opportunity 

• In this role, you will be joining the Product Operations team. Our team works directly with product management, engineering, and cross-functional business teams on the company’s top priority initiatives. Product Operations is responsible for building strong connections with user-facing teams (e.g. customer experience, partnership), ensuring a tight product feedback loop, and coordinating high quality launches. The team is deeply rooted in customer empathy using MoonPay products and leverages data insights to help set strategy and direction.

What You Will Do

• Drive top company priority product & policy launches and global rollouts (in partnership with Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Compliance and others)
• Partner with our Payment Processors to improve top line metrics across the business
• Own project delivery, keeping multiple, complex roadmaps moving at the same time and landing on schedule
• Own product launch readiness to ensure that user-facing teams are ready with the information and processes required to support new products & policies
• Collect, quantify & prioritize product-related challenges to be considered by product and engineering in future development. Uplevel the understanding of how the product is being used in the real world and create a feedback flywheel to drive continuous improvement
• Develop scalable processes & tools and share your thought leadership on how to run efficient launches at MoonPay

About The Opportunity 

• As a Chargeback Analyst on our Trust & Safety Team, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding our business and ensuring a seamless experience for our users within the dynamic world of Web3 and crypto. We’re seeking someone with experience in chargeback processes and regulations who can help detect risks, prevent fraud, and drive improvements in our chargeback strategy

What You Will Do

• Investigate Disputed Transactions: Conduct investigations of disputed cardholder transactions, adhering to Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and alternative payment methods (APMs) guidelines
• Defend Chargebacks: Respond to incoming chargebacks, ensuring timeliness and compliance with card network and payment platform regulations
• Identify Fraud Patterns: Analyze trends in chargeback and fraud data to proactively address and escalate emerging fraud risks
• Enhance Processes: Develop and implement improvements to chargeback and dispute processes, ensuring efficiency and alignment with industry standards
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other Teams to achieve company-wide OKRs

What You Will Need

• 2+ Years of Chargeback and Dispute Resolution Expertise: Proven experience in dispute management within crypto, e-commerce, or similar high-risk environments
• Knowledge of Payment Dispute Processes: Proficiency in chargeback and dispute resolution across major payment platforms (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, Amex, PayPal, Venmo), including the interpretation of chargeback reason codes and dispute handling
• Card Network Protocols Expertise: Deep understanding of current chargeback management standards and card network protocols, including liability shift rules and card scheme monitoring programs
• Analytical Skills: Ability to identify fraud patterns and conduct effective investigations
• High-Risk Industry Expertise: Experience working with high-risk industries and alternative payment methods (e.g., PayPal, Apple Pay)

About The Opportunity 

• We’re looking for a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer who understands the full life cycle of training machine learning models and putting them into production. This person can help us build, expand, and maintain our machine learning infrastructure and ecosystem.
• In this role, you’ll be a part of the Data team. You’ll help implement machine learning systems that have significant impact on critical functions of the business. In your work, you’ll collaborate closely with MoonPay’s data scientists and operate cross-functionally with Engineering, Ops, Product, Fraud Prevention, and more.
• As an ML Engineer, we’ll be looking to you to assess MoonPay’s current ML design, come up with a strategy to effectively expand and improve on ML implementations, and play a key role in ensuring that our ML systems continue to operate effectively.
• This role will be hybrid, and will require you to spend some portion of your time in our office in one of these locations.

What You Will Do

• Consult with data scientists on training machine learning models (after all, in a production environment, there are implications to model choices that need to be considered)
• Provide a strategic vision on how to make machine learning a cornerstone to MoonPay’s business
• Support additions and improvements to the ML infrastructure, including getting your hands dirty with data engineering and DevOps engineering
• Design systems to meet throughput and latency requirements
• Implement NFRs (Non-Functional Requirements) to ensure a high degree of system reliability
• Implement and participate in practices (such as an on-call rotation) to ensure the continuous delivery of machine learning services

About You

• You’ve been involved in ML before. In the past, you’ve worked closely with data scientists to help them bring experimental features and models to production. You know your way around implementing machine learning systems in a safe and reliable manner, you’re familiar with cloud infrastructure, you have experience with getting complex systems set up in a stable manner,, and you’re aware of potential pitfalls in machine learning systems that should be navigated around. What you will need…

• Prior experience with productionising ML systems is a must
• Prior experience training machine learning models is highly desirable
• Advanced knowledge of Python and familiarity with SQL
• Good working knowledge of Terraform and Terragrunt for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• A solid understanding and hands-on experience with real-time and event-driven systems such as Kafka, Kafkaconnect, Redpanda, Pub/Sub
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, docker, deployment types (canary, blue-green etc.)
• Experience with setting up CI/CD systems using tools such as CircleCI, drone, Github actions, ArgoCD
• Working experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Dataflow, and Flink
• Experience with system design - keeping performance and efficiency in mind, whilst aware of trade-offs
