    Senior BI Analyst (Pretoria)

    • We are looking for an experienced Senior BI Analyst at our Moyo team. 

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • The BI Analyst is responsible for turning data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Responsibilities include conducting full life-cycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, database development and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Tertiary degree, diploma or certificate in a related field (BSc Computer Science, B.IT or Informatics related degrees).

    Experience and Knowledge:

    • 7 + years’ working experience as a BI Reporting Analyst, Database Developer and/or Software Consultant.
    • Working Knowledge of Database design and Data analytics (specifically Power BI).
    • The ideal candidate must have at least 5 + years’ experience in the following technologies, tools and disciplines:
    • Tableau and/or Power BI
    • MS SQL
    • SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
    • Big data: Hive, Pig, Flume, Sqoop, Uzi and Spark.
    • Predictive Analytics: Alteryx, Python and R.
    • Database Warehousing, data consolidation and reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Data analysis, design and reporting.
    • Update knowledge about emerging industry or technology trends.
    • Develop information communication procedures.
    • Prepare analytical reports.
    • Update database structures and information.
    • Design and develop databases to store information for reporting.
    • Document operational procedures.
    • Document technical specifications or requirements.
    • Provide technical support for software/technology maintenance or use.
    • Data mapping and transformation.
    • Researching various available technologies.
    • Migrating existing client’s deliveries to new Business Intelligence platform.
    • Cultivates an ongoing partnership with power users in the business, maintaining knowledge of business operations, strategies, information requirements, and priorities.
    • Initiate process changes and enhancements where necessary and see to successful implementation.
    • Provide assistance to the Junior Consultants in their learning curve.

    • Technical Literacy: Possess a high level of technical literacy, which helps them determine how a software solution fits into an organization’s current structure and assists in the development of specifications and requirements.
    • Analytical Assessment: A high level of analysis to examine current systems and determine overall project needs and scope.
    • Schedule Management: Extensive time management skills to determine development schedules and milestones and ensure that deliverables are completed on time for oneself and your team.
    • Team Leadership: To oversee and direct development teams throughout the project development lifecycle, experience with team leadership and motivation is essential

    Senior Engineering Project Manager (Centurion)

    • We are looking for an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join us in driving significance together.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • The C&I Engineer will need to oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of a number of projects with specified deliverables. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of control and instrumentation systems for mining and processing operations. This role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and optimization of control systems to ensure efficient and safe plant operations. The engineer will work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and plant operations teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Relevant degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field

    Experience and Knowledge:

    • 8-10 years of experience in control and instrumentation engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
    •  Extensive experience in mining and processing plant environments.
    • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale C&I projects.
    • Project Management
    • Proficiency in control system design and programming (e.g., PLC, DCS, SCADA systems).
    •  Strong knowledge of instrumentation selection, installation, and maintenance.
    • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and IEEE.

    Key Responsibilities:

    The C&I Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following: 

    • Project Management
    • Lead and manage C&I projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with overall plant operations.
    • Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and status updates to stakeholders.
    •  Design and Development:
    • Select appropriate instrumentation and control equipment based on project requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
    • Develop and review control and instrumentation system designs, including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), control philosophies, and system architectures.
    • Installation and Commissioning:
    • Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of control systems and instrumentation.
    • Conduct site inspections and tests to verify system performance and compliance with design specifications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning phase. 
    • Maintenance and Optimization:
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for control systems and instrumentation.
    • Analyse system performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
    • Provide technical support and training to plant operations and maintenance personnel. 
    • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all control and instrumentation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. 
    • Participate in safety audits and incident investigations related to control systems.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for C&I systems.
